Right on your doorstep you are spoilt with the energetic atmosphere of Shoal Bay, a truly beautiful beach offering great swimming and a chance to unwind. For the more adventurous, there are kayaks, stand up paddle boards (open everyday during the high seasons of school holidays, long weekends and Easter) and bicycles for hire, secluded walking tracks nearby through Tomaree National Park, and a number of other surf beaches. Be sure to do the popular Tomaree Head Summit Walk to discover the spectacular views of the surrounding coastline. Just a 5-minute drive (3km) will take you to Nelson Bay CBD and Marina where you can shop, eat, head out on a dolphin cruise or choose from a range of other activities in town.
This cosy and welcoming unit is designed for your comfort with air-conditioning in the living area and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The alfresco balcony area offers amazing views over the water â cook up a BBQ and dine outside with some refreshing drinks, taking in that fresh salty air. Inside, the open plan living area includes a comfortable lounge area with a flat screen TV, a dining area with 6-seater table and a well equipped kitchen with a standalone oven, fridge/freezer and microwave. Tasteful furnishings throughout provide the unit with its charming beachside character.
The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom is cleverly combined with the laundry and includes a shower, toilet and washing machine, and you have secure car parking for one car.

The property was just across the road on first floor from the beach and same block for restaurants, a small supermarket and chemist and small shops. Nice view from balcony.
Cafe underneath the room opens at 0700 but they were dragging furniture around outside the shop to set up for outdoor dining for about 20 minutes each morning we were there. Very noisy, loud talking and this echoed up to the unit. A man had his dog there each day about the time the space was set up and the dog would bark continuously for about 20 minutes, the man would yell at him to stop but that was very loud too. This is all right underneath your window and balcony.
No tea towel supplied which you need to clean up your dishes before you depart. No toilet paper provided. Very central though, just a bit noisy.
