Elk Ridge Ranch-Located just 9 miles from the French Lick Resort and Casino in the midst of the Hoosier National Forest. Patoka Lake just 12.8 miles and scenic White River 8 miles.

Formerly a working elk ranch, the property has several gardens and trails. Hay wagon rides can be arranged on-site. Also a 9-hole-par-3 golf course, fitness center gym, a vineyard, berries, wildlife on 120-acres.

Property has a full workout gym. Gym has 2000 sq. feet full weights room, three cardio machines, yoga room), plus....a private par three golf course, a stocked fishing pond, bon fire pit , sauna, commercial kitchen.

This is a perfect property for a large family gathering or a corporate meeting and retreat. Room for a few RV's too!

This place is remote and private yet close to all the tourist activities in French Lick, Indiana like world class resort spas, golf courses and other tourist activities including laser tag, train rides, go-karting, a water park and historic architecture and antique shoppes. The Main Lodge and Blanche House at Elk Ridge Ranch property 375027 sits on 40 acres with gardens and a green house. The 9 hole par three golf course is a fun activity on the property. The commercial kitchen worked great for our 25 family members. We loved the open/shared lounge, game area, and bar. It was the perfect place for our mixed ages and interests, yet allowed us all to be together. The outdoor areas were beautiful and provided more opportunities for various activities. The location was easy to get to and close enough to French Lick to enjoy activities there as well. Bunk room was great for kids and two joining rooms for teens and twenties. Bedrooms in the house worked good for couples.

This place is so unique and such a great house for large groups. The kitchen has anything that you may need from an industrial ice maker to every utensil. The land has everything from Elk to a cabin built in the 1800s. We had a great time playing games in the banquet hall, theater room in a silo and a covered bonfire area. We are already working on a trip here in the summer.

We rented the ranch for my daughter’s wedding. It was beautiful, clean, and met all our needs with places for people to sleep. The kitchen was big enough to feed the troops for breakfasts, and we found convenient catering nearby for the dinner. All our dogs stayed the night with us, which made it so more people could come and stay. The host couldn’t have been more helpful, even through accidentally locked doors and power flickers from a rain storm. We would definitely come again!

Great venue for the right event. We rented both the Ranch and the Log Lodge, so this review applies to both. The properties accommodated a large group for our family reunion. The venue really has a lot to offer for additional spaces and activities, indoors and outdoors, which is accurately reflected in the listings. Finally, our host, Wendy, was just great. I misinterpreted the number of sleeping accommodations available at one site, which messed up my space allocation for family. Wendy immediately recognized the ambiguity of the listing and offered us a generous solution which solved the problem perfectly!

A fabulous venue for a large family get together! So much to do, something for everyone ! We enjoyed the frisbee golf, 9 hole par 3 golf, visiting and feeding the elk thru the fence, catching toads in the creek, fishing in the pond, playing whiffle ball and capture the flag on the open grounds, and volleyball(. - ( brought our own net) ) Wendy was an attentive host, answered all texts immediately - she was committed to seeing that her guests had a great time. Even bought and delivered a ping pong table while we were there!The commercial kitchen was well equipped and made feeding 28 people so much easier. Everyone agreed - It was one of our best family vacations, even though we had daily temps in the 90’s and rain showers almost every day. Highly recommend !!

We held a family reunion and 12 adults several young adults and 12 children ranging from 20 to 2 months stayed for 5 nights and 4 days. Everyone had a great time and no one ran out of things to do. The owners responded very quickly when an issue arose, were very helpful, yet stayed out of our way. We would all like to stay there again.

Great time at Elk Ridge Lodge!

Our family had a great time at Elk Ridge Lodge. The property has a rustic feel but there are plenty of bedrooms and spaces to gather. The industrial kitchen made food prep easy for a large group and the upstairs gathering area was great for a game of Bingo and other larger group activities. Wendy was fantastic at answering any of our questions or helping us with the house. The area is located in a rural area which allowed everyone to slow down and connect with one another. We did find fun in French Lick and surrounding communities where we met many nice people, enjoyed visiting the locals, and a ate some great meals out and about. If you have ever wanted to go to summer camp with your entire family, Elk Ridge Ranch is a great place to make it happen!

Perfect Property for a Group

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate a 40th birthday! This property was perfect for our group of 14, offering everything we needed for an unforgettable weekend. The amenities were top-notch—spacious and well-equipped, with thoughtful details that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The property grounds were stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for both relaxation and fun. What truly made this place special was how well it catered to a group like ours. Whether we were sharing belly laughs around the firepit, cooking up a feast together in their commercial grade kitchen, playing a little pool or a round of chip and putt (we didnt play the whole course) it was clear this property was designed with gatherings in mind. And what made it even better was that our dog could join in on the fun (pet friendly)! I highly recommend this gem to anyone planning a group getaway—you won’t regret it! We hope to be back for our next friends gathering!

Best Destination Wedding Weekend

We live in Brooklyn and planned our wedding at Elk Ridge Ranch as a destination wedding. It exceeded our expectations by far! Mari and I can not over state our wonderful wedding weekend. Dave and Wendy were amazing hosts. They had staff on the ready to help prep any needs we needed. Wendy gave us many ideas on the best ways to set up the hall for our 80 guests. They both were filled with positivity and willing to try new ideas to make our wedding weekend extremely special. Any questions that we had were answered immediately. We opted to have a pizza party on Friday night for rehearsal dinner. The pizza party was fantastic. Dave provided elk meat, sausage, beef, fresh mozzarella, every vegetable you can think of. The wedding by the lake was exactly what we wanted. The barn hall provided a relaxed comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy. The kids played switch and pool in the corn silo while the adults had cocktails on the outside deck. Dave helped us find the perfect band and soundman. We danced to the band by the bonfire, roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate for the kids, bourbon for the adults all-night. Our guests stayed in town and our family stayed on the ranch. We can not recommend this beautiful space enough. Thanks Wendy and Dave!

Wedding Weekend

We recently celebrated our wedding at an elk ridge ranch, and it was nothing short of magical! The venue was breathtaking, surrounded by rolling hills and stunning landscapes. The spacious accommodations allowed our family and friends to stay comfortably, and the charming decor added a cozy, rustic vibe to our special day. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly from setup to cleanup. We appreciated their attention to detail and choosing to have Dave (owner) cater a BBQ meal for our reception was spectacular. Ax throwing and pulled pork/brisket is the best combo! Our guests raved about the outdoor ceremony space and the picturesque backdrop for photos. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable wedding venue, this ranch is the perfect choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—truly a five-star celebration!

The best for large reunions!

This was our 4th stay across 12 years, and it was wonderful as always. The location is so peaceful and serene, the buildings have incredible spaces - the kitchen and great room especially! The hosts Dave and Wendy are around if needed, but otherwise just allow our group to enjoy the property. I have nothing but good things to say, and look forward to many more years at Elk Ridge Ranch :)

GREAT place for team building!!!

Our team gathers in person once a year (most of us work remotely). We had a fabulous time at Elk Ridge. Communication with Dave and Wendy was easy! The property had more than enough room for all 20+ of us and the history of the property was so interesting. There were surprises around every corner including the Pizza Barn activity we added on (food was delicious), the cigar and Bourbon Barn, the silo fire pit, the actual ELK that lived there! We’re already talking about the NEXT time we come!
