This is one of those, âpark at the door to your roomâ motels. Those are my favorite. I arrived to check in around 4:15 pm. The office was locked. I rang the bell and got checked in, after being asked, âWhat was the rate you agreed to?â After thinking about it, I should have said, â$25 a night?â. I took the key to room 109, went to the room and opened the door. My first thought was, âSmall roomâ, but not a deal breaker. After further observation, the walls were a 1970âs shade of yellow, and a bright blue. Not a deal breaker, but just not my first choice. The bathroom sink looked like it was barely attached to the wall. Not perpendicular, not close. The sink had a yellow stain, a chip and a crack in it, but it didnât leak and there was hot and cold water. Surprisingly, the bathroom is where the small fridge and microwave are located. The small microwave sitting on top of the little fridge, on the typically supplied foldable luggage stand. Not a deal breaker. Both the fridge and the microwave worked. The shower was tight quartered, as to be expected. The shower head leaked and was spraying onto the wall above, which will eventually have adverse effects. I regret not letting the front desk know about that. Maybe they will read this and take care of it. The bed was closer to the ground than most, not a deal breaker. As I closed the door to the room, I noticed daylight coming through the bottom of the door. That must have been the reason for the slight debris
