Very welcoming family run Hotel, very nice breakfast. Fantastic dinner by Chef Randall who also acted as a waiter one evening. A very pleasant place and exceptional owners who were very helpful in all aspects of our stay. We highly recommend this place.

breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. perfect to start a full day of hiking and exploring the area. room was quiet, appointed and we had a beautiful mountain view from our balcony. the belcruz family and staff is incredible.

The staff is very helpful. There is a beautiful private path in the forest behind the b&b. we ate breakfast with monkeys, it was an amazing and up close experience. The food was outstanding.

Honestly this place was great. I saw birds roght out my patio window and looked out to the mountains. It was a great value and the owner and his family were very friendly and welcoming. Take the short hike to the top of the property and enjoy an amazing view. This was such a cool place to stay. The room was extremely comfortable.

Amazing.

We had a spectacular stay at Belcruz. Randall and his team are gracious hosts. The property is BEAUTIFUL. Dinner at the hotel was a highlight of our trip. Would 100% recommend this hidden gem, can’t wait to return on our next trip.

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean, and the property is beautiful to walk. The owner and his family are so kind and friendly. Every morning for breakfast, we would watch the monkeys in the trees that would come right up to the window where we sat. You won’t be disappointed here!

Incredible place with great views and amazing food

We had an INCREDIBLE time at Belcruz! The owner is so welcoming, accommodating, kind, etc. and the property is spectacularly beautiful. Plus, the food is amazing! We opted to have dinner there and it was the best meal of our 10 day Costa Rica trip! I can’t reccomend this place enough! Support this family business and stay at Belcruz- you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing hosts and views

Our stay at Belcruz was fantastic! Randall was the sweetest host- very helpful, informative, and attentive! His son was also sweet and helpful. The views from the room were breathtaking. There were also beautiful trails on the property. I wish my stay was longer. I highly recommend you stay here!

Good for birds!

Great location, excellent for birding with a few trails on site. Breakfast was included and was very good. No AC but room was fine with just a fan (in May). Did have a small fridge as well.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Helped arrange tours and activities. Breakfast was fresh and filling. Don't miss out on delicious dinners and great atmosphere. Take time to explore extensive trails on the property with lovely views. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Only recommendation is more lighting in rooms, especially bathrooms.

We had such a lovely stay at Belcruz. When we arrived, Randall welcomed us with a great explanation of where to go in Monteverde and took us to our room. The room was great - clean, comfortable bed, spacious, great view. Breakfast was delicious. We needed to plan our next move after checkout, and Randall made us drinks while we sat in the restaurant/lobby and planned - and saw a few cool birds right out the window. Plus, we got great hand made bird ornaments that his wife and daughter make on site - definitely the coolest gifts we saw in Costa Rica. Wish we could have eaten dinner, too!

So it’s not easy to drive here. Somehow Waze took us on a gravel road for miles it wasn’t easy to drive. So just make sure you get directions on the pave road. It’s beautiful and serenity kicks in. The manager is extremely nice and his dog is the best!

This hotel was a wonderful surprise and exceeded our expectations. It was a little out of town, but we had a rental car so no issue. The host was fantastic and very helpful, the room was spectacular, and the walk between the room and the restaurant was amazing. We spotted more wildlife in the short walk than our two hour tour through the Monteverde cloud forest(plus we weren’t overwhelmed by hoarded of tourists bussed in from elsewhere). We spotted toucans, parrots, toucanets, a motmot, even a raccoon, and of course the curious monkeys from the restaurant. It was a great stay, and if we can ever afford to visit Costa Rica again, this hotel will be on our list of places to stay again.

My first impression was our hotel room was a bit, “dated” but, the rooms were spacious and clean. There was one firm mattress and 1 softer one. We had an incredible view from our balcony. We got some beautiful sunset pictures as suggested by the front desk clerk for us to take a five minute walk up the mountain at sunset. We had one of our suppers at the hotel restaurant and both our dishes were fabulous! The breakfast meal was very nice and while having our breakfast this morning we had the pleasure of being entertained by monkeys right outside our window.

Fantastic

This stay was one of the higlights of our vacation in Costa Rica. We never write reviews, but now we just have to. This family run bed & breakfast was magical. They were all so Nice, warm, welcoming and always willing to help. We even missed our taxi going to a coffee plantation and the owners son drove us there himself. It was like being part of a big loving family. Speaking of the son, he makes food for the restaurant
 and oh my god. I really do hope Gordon Ramsay go here and taste his food. It was over the moon and we still talk about the food until this day. If you dont sleep at the hotel, just go eat there!! It was amazing. We loved every bit of the stay and really want to go back some day.

Que des points positifs lors de notre sĂ©jour au Belcruz B&B. DĂšs l’arrivĂ©e, on ressent l’esprit de famille qui rĂšgne dans cet Ă©tablissement dirigĂ© par le trĂšs sympathique Randall, au cƓur d’un cadre naturel exceptionnel. Plus qu’un simple hĂ©bergement, c’est une vĂ©ritable expĂ©rience : randonnĂ©es au sein mĂȘme de la propriĂ©tĂ©, points de vue magnifiques sur la montagne et une faune abondante (singes, colibris, aigle, nombreux oiseaux), bien plus que dans les rĂ©serves de Monteverde et d’Arenal 😄. Petit-dĂ©jeuner simple et trĂšs bon. Je recommande vivement ce lieu.
