Tropical Siesta Key Townhouse at Bay Oaks - Watch Dolphin in the Bay! G12

You are sure to appreciate the tropical surroundings and professionally landscaped grounds at Bay Oaks. Enjoy the large BBQ/Picnic area and piers on the bay as you watch for dolphin in the bay waters!

This beautifully remodeled townhouse offers 2 floors of living space complete with 2 lanais and a porch. Downstairs is the comfortable and spacious living room with views of tropical landscaping and mature trees. Off of the living room is a screened in lanai with table and chairs. The full size kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven/stove, full size side by side refrigerator and granite counters. There is a nice dining area with views, and also additional seating at the kitchen bar/counter. A full size washer & dryer are provided in the laundry room. There is also a half-bath downstairs.

Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms in both. The master bedroom is tastefully decorated in a Tommy Bahama decor with a queen size bed, walk in closet, a private deck, and a jetted tub in the bathroom. The bright and cheerful guest bedroom offers bunk beds with a twin/full combination and an additional twin bed. There is also an additional deck located between the two bedrooms for more outside space. TV’s and DVD players are provided in the living room as well as both bedrooms, and the unit also offers free cable and WiFi.

The townhouse is equipped with everything you need for fun at the beach including beach chairs, beach towels, 'boogie boards', sand buckets & shovels and beach umbrella. All you need is suntan lotion and your bathing suit!

Also provided for your enjoyment on-site are a heated pool, tennis courts, sauna, showers, recreation room with pool table and a lounge where various social gatherings are scheduled. Bike racks are convenient to your doorstep. Free WiFi access is also available in the clubhouse and at the pool. Walk 4 blocks to Beach Access #12, or hop on the free Siesta Key Breeze Trolley right in front of the resort and ride to the public beach pavilion (concession stand, restrooms), Siesta Key Village and Turtle Beach.

RENTAL POLICIES: Weekly rentals are Saturday to Saturday. Monthly rentals are the first day of the month to the last day of the month during Jan, Feb, and March.

Bugs, screens had holes in them, carpet is stained and dirty. The thermostat is set and cannot be changed. Dark, some of the windows will not stay up. Not a lot of light coming in. Needs a renovation.If you are still reading this review

Siesta key stay

The unit was fine. Location was good. Plenty of room although certainly needs some updating. The AC went out a week before we left. It was replaced the day we left. The property manager offered a portable unit but we declined as they are noisy and wouldn’t work in a two story unit very well. I asked for some refund for putting up with the heat and humidity but he never responded after Multiple efforts.

Great place for family of 5!

We have stayed in Siesta Key many times at different properties and this is our second year at Bay Oaks. We have a family of five teenagers/adults and it is very difficult to find a place where each person can have a mattress! Overall, the Bay Oaks condos are a little older and could use a few upgrades. However, this condo was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for everyone and 3 balconies to spread out and have quiet space. The bedrooms are huge with plenty of closet space. There are three total bathrooms on two different levels, and the building is very quiet. The property manager was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. For the price and the location- this is perfect for a family of five!

Location was great , we had everything we needed close by. But the unit itself was filthy , very dusty, there where ants in the kitchen and the toilet and bathtub did not draining properly.

Bay Oaks

The unit was spacious and the property manager was wonderful to work with. However the unit needs updating. The furniture and TV’s are very outdated. Not a very comfortable house especially after a long day on the beach. Unfortunately we did not use the 3 outdoor patios because the furniture was very old and dirty. I think for the price the owners could update the unit to make it more comfortable and inviting.

summer vacation

the cleanliness and location of this property were great. the condo came stocked more than we expected. overall a great stay but we spoke with one of the owners and he told us it would be okay to check out later with no charge since our flight didn't leave till 730pm, the day of checkout they called us last minute and told us we needed to be gone by noon which left us outside with three children and a pregnant woman in the heat then at the airport for over 6 hours, for this alone we will not be renting this property again.

Too far from beach

The property was nice, clean, had everything you need to cook and a TON of things to use at beach. The ad made it sound closer to beach than it is. 4 blocks is really closer to a mile walk! We used the tram, but will definitely stay closer to beach next time. The pool was nice BUT had so many rules it was ridiculous ! The first thing your greeted with when you arrive is a list of what will get you evicted immediately... not very welcoming. The grilling area was near bay and had nice picnic area. We enjoyed that. The kids fished from pier. Overall great vacation but you either need a car or stay closer to beach access.

Siesta Key Condo

Overall, this property would be a great place to stay...we just happened to stay during a week that it had issues. Upon arriving, the air conditioning did not work and it was 86 degrees in the condo. Needless to say our first day was not pleasant. They were not able to get the air working until 11:00 p.m. that night which required someone in our condo for several hours in and out with their equipment during a rain storm. At one point we were told that they did not think they were going to be able to fix it that night. Then after purchasing a week's worth of groceries we found out that the refrigerator was not working properly and would not cool our food. We had to keep rotating frozen water bottles into the refrigerator to try to keep our food cold. We had to do this for the first three days until the refrigerator finally caught up. Even at its coolest setting it was never completely as cold as it should have been for our dairy and meat items. Needless to say, it was not a relaxing first three days of vacation. Also, the freezer drain did not work so there was a puddle of water continually in front of the freezer door that we had to keep mopping up the water so no one would slip and fall on the tile floor. I called about the issues, but I did not feel that the refrigerator was taken seriously enough. Since it was a known problem, I don't feel it should have been rented until the refrigerator was replaced. Had we not had those two issues, we definitely would have enjoyed our stay at this condo. It is located in a convenient place on Siesta Key and we had easy access to the Village and Public Beach. The kitchen is well equipped with items needs to prepared meals.

The vacation I needed

We came to Sarasota for our son's graduation trip. We moved from this area about 14 years ago, so we decided it was time to come back for a visit. We had 3 teenage boys with us and there was plenty of room for all of us. I really enjoyed the three different balconies. The kitchen was very well stocked, there was enough small appliances and cooking utensils to make whatever you wanted to. It is close enough to the main Siesta entrance to have a short drive, it is also a short drive to the village. Being on the south end of the key allowed for quick access to the condo from the city. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Siesta Key Bay Oaks VRBO

We very much enjoyed this property! Great pool area! Condo maybe could use some updates, but, was very clean! We really appreciated having a laundry room in condo. Also appreciated nice, big beach towels provided! Would definitely rent again!

Outdated and Filthy

This condo is not as depicted in pictures as it has aged and has not been taken care of for years. It was Incredibly Filthy Everywhere! The rental agency sent in a cleaning service, carpet cleaners and plumbers to make it decent for us to stay. The 1980 appliances were barely functional. Even the 3 lanais and patio furniture were black with grime. We were not pleased with the situation but toughed it out and stayed on for the month. The location is not close to the beach. So we drove to the beach every day as we bring along a beach cart, cooler, umbrellas etc.that does not fit onto beach transportation. We do not recommend this rental!!

Great Location Relaxed Townhouse

It was my brother and his wife; and me and the three kids: 13, 10, and 8 staying for a week. Looking at all the options, I was worried that it would be fancy schmancy and my kids would break/stain/destroy something. It was perfect. The location and the amenities were perfect for our needs. The location, while not on the actual beach, was fantastic. We didn't want to spent the extra few hundred dollars to be on the other side of the road. We didn't have the extra 500+ dollars to be on the actual beach either. So, if we weren't going to be on the actual beach, what does it matter if we are on one side of the road or other? Either way, we will still have to walk. Plus, the town house is located close to the front of the complex, making it incredibly easy to get in and out, and also shortening the inevitable walk to the beach. Another added plus, is the upstairs hallway balcony, it is fantastic for watching the sun set. The amenities were just what we needed. It would be nice for a flat screen TV and all the fancy new electronics at our disposal, and if that is what you are looking for, move on to another. However, there was fairly fast WiFi, and cable TV. Yet, we did not come to the beach to watch TV. We came for the pool, surf, and sand. The pool was heated and in the shade a huge plus for families with kids. The furniture was perfect for lounging, and I didn't have to worry about my children staining or marring any of the fabrics. They are kids after all. The whole feel of the place was relaxing and enjoyable. There are three actual balconies, however if you include the one at the entrance there are four, and we used that as a place to sit and chat as well. The kitchen was stocked with the typical turnkey items: serving and eating dishes, drink ware, cooking and eating utensils, pots, and pans. The appliances were clean and worked well. We made a couple of large family dinners and they went off without a hitch. One thing I would like to mention is the fact that there is an apartment below. We, being a large group coming in and out all the time, made too much noise for the renters below. It is hard to walk softly on tile, and even doing our best to be quiet, was a bit rough on us to constantly be mindful, and rough on the neighbors when we forgot. Overall, it was a great experience. We have rented several places on Siesta Key and will keep this location as one of our very favorites. The location and amenities made it a place to return to.

Charming cozy siesta condo

It was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Only negative would be it's a bit of a walk to a beach access. But that's ok thanks to the free trolley. The pool is beautiful and the property is well landscaped. I would definantly rent this place qgain
