This traditional Dales cottage dates back to 1750 with low beamed ceilings and original sneck doors. New for 2022 are two comfortable living room sofas with new cushions. Last year the cottage benefitted from being repainted and decorated with new curtains, blinds and chrome lights.
Quietly located a 5-minute walk from Grassingtonâs main square with shops, tea rooms and inns serving food. Grassington hosts events round the year with the Summer Festival, 40âs weekend and the long standing Dickensian Festival. It has also provided the backdrop to the new series of âAll Creatures Great and Smallâ.
The nearby villages of Kettlewell, Buckden and Linton also offer charming places to eat. Skipton, with its castle, bustling market and canal boats, is only 10 miles away. Historic Bolton Abbey on the River Wharfe is close by, as well as the scenic Settle-Carlisle railway over the Ribblehead viaduct. Slightly further afield is the pretty spa town of Harrogate and the historic city of York. The Dalesway walk goes past the property, and there is ample cycle storage for the more energetic that want to experience the roads used in the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour de France.
