INDOOR SPACE
Upon entering, youâll immediately feel the warm, rustic character of the house. The stone-built fireplace anchors the living room, complemented by high wooden ceilings and an open loft above.
The loft is accessed via a spiral staircase and features a double bed plus direct access to a spacious sun terrace. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views toward the sea, Alonissos island, and the Stafilos valley â and some of the villaâs most memorable sunrises (Kalimera means âgood morningâ in Greek).
The living room offers traditional built-in sofas (which can also be used as two single beds) and opens onto the country-style kitchen with terracotta floors and blue accents. A large wooden dining table sits at the center of the space. One of the two bathrooms is conveniently located next to the kitchen.
The master bedroom includes a double bed, antique wardrobe, en-suite bathroom, and a private entrance.
The house provides modern amenities while respecting its traditional style.
As beautiful as in the pictures. We are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers and a 21-year old but still had plenty of room. Very hot but always somewhere to sit in the shade with fantastic views. Insects not a problem. Friendly black and white cat joined us for the last few days (sad to leave her!). Pool was great - large enough to swim in. Bottle of water & wine in fridge on arrival was a nice touch. Cannot fault the villa but should point out that the drive up from Skopelos is very steep with hairpin bends & requires a confident driver (not for the faint- hearted!). Loved this villa - a memorable holida.
Villa Kalimera is a really authentic house, as charming as the island. I would highlight its great outdoor areas (porch, pool, terrace). The beauty of the view and the garden is much greater than the photos.
Gabriella's and Alessandro's family were very kind and hospitable. Communication was great.
I would highly recommend this place. We are looking forward to stay in again.
This is a beautiful home in countryside and we were greeted with such genuine hospitality. We loved the view, the peace and quiet, and the traditional character of the property. The road from town is very steep but after doing it a couple times we felt comfortable with the drive. Relaxing by the pool after a day of exploring Skopelos, napping in the hammock, and star gazing and sunrise watching from the amazing roof top terrace were all memorable! We would love to return!
Our stay at this villa was just marvelous! The place is very quiet and relaxing. It's amazing for people who want to feel close to nature and like authentic traditional scenery of the Greek country side. We loved the house so much! All the furniture and vintage decoration give it a lot of character. We also enjoyed the garden because it's very shaded and comfortable with cute tables and chairs under olive trees. We spent a lot of time relaxing on hammocks and the swimming pool and we got a beautiful view of the sea and green hills. But our favorite place was the balcony from where we could watch the sea and the port. It was so romantic to have a glass of wine there under the starry sky.
I absolutely recommend this place and I hope to return soon!!
âWonderful soothing home in beautiful gardenâ
We stayed for a week in the Villa Kalimera with 2 adults and 4 teenagers, and enjoyed it very much.
There is one separate bedroom with (small) bathroom with a king size bed, and access to a terrace. In the kitchen/living room there are two couches opposite of each other that you can use as beds. Also a modest bathroom. And then on the second floor, it is like an inside balcony, there is a futon for two persons. This persons have access to the wonderfull terrace on the roof! Everything is personally decorated with some antique tools and handcrafts from local objects out of nature. It is very cosy.
The kitchen contains everything you might possibly need, so you can perfectly prepare meals yourself. And then you can enjoy this meals on one of the very nice terraces in the garden.
In that beautiful garden with large trees that provide a lot of shade there are three terraces, some in the shade, some in the sun. One nice round one, some bigger in front of the house and one in the middle of the garden between house and pool. The latest you can't fully use when the figs are ripe, because they fall constantly and drip. But you have al lot of alternatives. At last there is a terrace on the second floor with a stunning view on the Aegean Sea. You can see the boats enter the harbour. Very nice to sit there in the late afternoon.
The pool was very nice, especially for the kids, but is also large and deep enough to exercise a bit. Around the pool there are sunbeds. The view from that side is magnificent.
The house and pool where all very clean. And during the week we had some new linen and cleaning.
The only thing some people might not like is that you have to wipe de terraces every morning with broom and water during the time when de figs are ripe and falling. Takes about 30 minutes, but we had no problem with that. And will only be in time that the figs are falling down, and I think this year was a very good fig year...
There were also some wasps, but hardly a problem.
The environment is very quiet. The street near the house has hardly any traffic.
The owner keeps in contact with you far before your trip and provides in everything you need or want to know. Also during your stay you can reach him bij whats app and he quickly responds.
Thank you very much Alessandro for your hospitality. It was a magnificent stay in Villa Kalimera.
This was our 10th visit to the Greek Islands and our 4th to Skopelos so we know the lie of the land and we have always rented villas. Whilst the property was clean, it is cheaply equipped, shabby and our experience was not consistent with all the other glowing reviews. Firstly, the location of the property was far from peaceful. We were woken up every other night and early morning by barking dogs on 2 sides of the property. Furthermore, the early exodus of quads and motor bikes made sure that we were up for early morning tea. The house is very close to the road and despite it's "rural" situation has a lot of traffic. Secondly, the bathrooms (of which there are no photos on the web site) are cramped, poorly fitted out and not consistent with the price of the property - you literally can't swing a cat. Both bathrooms have shower curtains and so the whole room is wet after a shower. The "master bedroom" (which has the washing machine an arm's length from the bed) on the ground floor smelt of damp and drain during the entire holiday so we slept on the mezzanine above the kitchen. The bed on the mezzanine does not have a sprung mattress but something more akin to a futon. It was so hard that we were forced to drag the mattresses from the master bedroom up the spiral staircase and put them on top of the pallet bed so that we could sleep. At least the owner provided two synthetic pillows when we complained about the hardness of the pillows. It should be clear from the description of the property that with 6 people in the property, 4 people are, for all intents and purposes, sleeping in the kitchen .... 2 above it and 2 adjacent to it. We cooked at the property only once as there is nothing to stop the cooking smell going straight up to the mezzanine. Twice we had no water and once during the rain we had water coming in through the roof. We had no problems with the wasps but once the figs are ripe then the entire terrace area outside the main door will need to swept and cleaned every day unless, of course, you like wasps. We did not have a happy time here, and frankly, it was the worst villa experience we have had on Skopelos. Unfortunately we left it late and the good ones had gone. The owner made lots of sympathetic noises but of course would not give us a refund when we told him we wanted to leave and book into a hotel.
We had a lovely stay in Kalimera .. the house was lovely and full of character and the garden and views were beautiful. There was a lot of nature and would suit people who are not worried by this. It was a very peaceful place and it was particularly nice to sit on the roof terrace in the evening watching the stars come out. The drive down to skopelos town is steep but ok ... although we didnât often go out because after a day on the beach we just wanted to relax at home and enjoy the environment. We enjoyed having a barbecue and in the end we never did make it into town for dinner because we preferred to be at Kalimera. It was a special place to wake up in and go outside to sit in the shade of the fig tree watching swallows dipping into the pool.
Alessandro has been absolutely great, throughout the whole process, and made the whole trip very smooth.
The villa itself is stunning, as you can see from the photos, and I can only echo what others have said about it. The pool is well maintained and a good size, the roof terrace was lovely, amazing views - and there is a sense of space and tranquility throughout the villa and garden. A lovely authentic Greek villa.
There were occasional wasps outside, as we expected - specially if you eat outside - but we got used to them and worked around them, and no one got stung. We were grateful for the ceiling fans plus additional fan as it was mid August and hot at night! Easy access to Skopelos town, and also lots of lovely beaches, but our two teenagers probably would have been happy staying in the villa as it had everything they needed. It's worth exploring the island more widely, and we found some amazing spots including monasteries and ancient burial sites - if you do this just make sure your rental car is up to the steep hills!
All thanks to Alessandro, and we would highly recommend this gorgeous villa.
We had a really nice time in Alessandro's place. It's a real greek country house, full of interesting objects they have collected through the years. The pool is great of course, excellent way to get refreshed and enjoy the amazing view of the island and the sea. Skopelos is a truly enjoyable island, with amazing food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Completely recommended!
An amazing place to stay, a bit remote for the teenagers in our family. Bur perfect for real family time. Sitting on the balcony at night watching shooting stars. Swimming in the pool with the best ever view. Watching the sunrise from our bed every morning. I want to go back again & again. The only reason I ve not give it 4 stars is because of the wasps.... my son is allergic to wasp stings & so they made it hard to eat outside.

Perfect relaxation in a stunning setting
Alessandro was very helpful, even sending us ferry times and arranging car hire. The house is full of character and the garden area beautiful: especially the hammock under the olive trees with the amazing view past the pool to forested hills and the sea beyond! It is secluded and we truly relaxed, in fact we loved it so much we extended our stay by 2 days! I have been to 26 Greek islands and Skopelos has to be one of the best, possibly THE best. We shall be back!

We love this place
The Kalimera Villa is a rustic romantic and peaceful place with an outstanding view .
Skopelos town and all beautiful beaches and places to visit can be easily reached by car.
We spent a wonderful relaxing time with our 2 kids (10 and 13) who loved the place as well (pool and big garden). One of our favourite places was on top - the terrace with view to the sea.
Alessandro was very helpful and accommodating and helped us to organize a rental car. Communication before the booking and during our stay was really good.
We hope to come back. We had great holidays.

Excellent location, far from city turmoil but still in close driving range for shops, restaurants, etc.
Perfect place, full of character country style villa, good to spend some quality time with friends or family.
Nice beaches around in max 10-15 min driving time.
