Breakfast was ok. The issue with this hotel is that on its site/app it fails to disclose that there is construction underway. There is also work going on next door to the front of hotel. Noise starts after 7am up to about 4. The hotel is tired and even bigger rooms are neglected, surprising that instead a new pool terrace and restaurant are instead now being built. This is not a 4 star property and the serenity advertised is a myth. The beach club is closed as off season but at least this is stated on tge site. No mention of noise. Had to change rooms 3 times, due variously to external noise, paper thin walls, internal noise, faulty ac. There were also issues with water being cut off, mosquitoes and cockroaches, very disappointing since the place had been recently treated by pest control. I would urge prospective guests to check construction status with hotel direct. They cannot control work elsewhere, and there is a lot of development currently, however I believe they have a legal duty to inform potential customers as to what is going on at the hotel, since it ruined my trip, and I do not believe this hotel in its current situation should be advertised as a VIP experience.

Posted Mar. 4, 2024 on HotelsNot recommended:/ 1. The pictures do not reflect the situation today, the hotel requires serious maintenance. 2. The round outdoor pool that you see in the picture isn't part of the hotel at all but is located down the street about 5 minutes walk and is closed now.
3. Disgraceful service!! We arrived at the hotel in the evening and even before we went up to the room we understood that our room was right on the construction of the building next door:/ we asked an exchange but were told that the hotel is full and it will be possible only on the next day. We had no choice but to go up to the room (2nd floor facing the road) and at midnight it turned out that the toilets isn't working, we called the reception and after 15 minutes waiting they asked us to change to a different room 7th floor not facing the construction, suddenly they had a different room😳
4. No water pressure in the shower ( impossible to shampoo!)
5. The filter in the faucet is missing so the water splashes everywhere.
6. There is tea in the room but there is no kettle and although we asked several times it was not provided.
We asked for a kettle 3 timthere are toilets in the room but no kettle). In short, bad service.
The one good thing was the small indoor pool, where you can activate jacuzzi streams, (actually it's more like a big jacuzzi than a pool that can fit2-4)..

Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly receptionist to check me in. Informed me that I got upgraded from a standard to family room as it was a solo birthday trip for myself.
To my surprise they gave me a slice of carrot cake along with a birthday card and one of the beds decorated with petals. Had their breakfast buffet and tried their spa facilities all of which was superb. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Malta as all staff members were personable all the way up until I left - security even offering a coffee whilst I waited for my taxi.
My small issue I would raise was there was a strand of hair on the hairdryer throughout my stay. Despite the hotel providing a room 'touch up' in the afternoon before the evening sets in (great touch btw) they failed to spot this in my 3 nights. Very small and definitely does not change my positive impression I received from the hotel.
Good location to some of the most recommended eateries and neighbouring towns such as St Julians and an easy bus ride to Valetta. Just ensure to bring the exact change for the fare.

We were allocated a disabled room for some reason and we just accepted this as assumed the hotel was busy. However from my observation it wasnt.
The room was large enough and the space was not fully utlised.
Limited lighting in room so doing make up and hair was a little difficult.
The quality is 10. However due to limited facilities in room overall not great.
the restaurant food was top quality could not fault it.
Steam room and sauna was ok, temp was not great did report to maintenance.
