I had booked a one night stay at the treehouse along with additional amenities. The amenities included a pre-lit hot tub along with a s’mores package. Shortly after checking in, we had encountered a significant snow storm. My significant other and I were unable to leave the room due to the significant snow, wind and wind chill outside. I went to use the shower, toilet and sink and found all of the pipes to be frozen. The hot tub never came up to temperature and froze over. The fire pit was froze over and covered in snow. I contacted the on-call representative at 11:32pm that evening. The representative told me that if I left immediately that they could cancel my stay and give a full refund. I told the representative of my situation and that it was extremely unsafe to leave due to the weather. I was told that management would call me the following day. I never received a phone call, which I was first promised. Instead, I received an email for a $100 refund with $100 credit towards a future stay. I called back today since I never received a call since.I was told that the refund was issued (without even receiving a phone call as I was promised) and that the resort/spa would reach back out to me (again). I decided to call Expedia, myself, this afternoon and explained my whole situation/requested a full refund once again. The representative contacted the resort/spa and was told there was nothing that could be done. I feel like my money was stolen from me. I will NOT be returning.
Toilet was clogged and we contacted to the hotel to ask for help. However they advised no one couldn't come until next day morning. Hot water stopped and cold water came out during taking shower. Horrible experience with the stay
We were somewhat confused by the check in information; we received several texts and our instructional emails were sent to 2 different addresses, but when we reached out for assistance our concerns were addressed promptly and courteously by Jun.
The grounds were very nice, the room was comfortable and clean; we opted to have the hot tub lit and it was perfect.
I would note, however that the blind on the large window fell off the bracket as soon as we attempted to pull it closed and the "barn" bathroom door was slightly off it's track making it difficult to close. Having said that, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would gladly return and recommend to others.
Such a special space, made with such peaceful intentions. I really enjoyed the sauna and the wood firing hot tub. The pigs did not smell and actually were friendly and cute. One piglet got out and was hanging out with a wild rabbit. It was adorable. Comfortable bed and great kitchen
By far one of the best places we have ever stayed, we plan to stay again in the future! The staff was beyond amazing. Every interaction they were so kind, helpful, and respectful. There is a small walking trail on the property, along with a few farm animals that was cool to see. There is a goat that walks around the property as well which was very fun to see. We loved the idea of the wood fired hot tub and this was one of our favorites parts! Highly recommend this place!
Very clean. Amenities were great. The smell of the well sulfer water permeated the bathroom and did not use the shower due to this. The sound of the generator at night could be disruptive to light sleepers.
I would not recommend staying here in the winter. We couldn’t get the heating system to warm the place beyond 68 degrees (what the thermostat read), it did not feel warm in the treehouse-I was uncomfortably cold. There was a separate thermostat in the bathroom that only read the temperature, didn’t seem to work otherwise as we bumped up the temp on that with no results. In fact the temp read 67 when I got in the shower and 62 degrees when I got out-brrr! I think because the door was closed and there was no heat in the bathroom itself, the bathroom relies on heat from the rest of the treehouse, which doesn’t get in with the door closed. There is no bathroom sink, just the mini-kitchenette sink, which had no warm water, just freezing cold water so we ended up washing our hands in the shower. And the water coming out of the kitchen faucet had a strong sulfur odor. 6-8 inches of snow fell overnight and even by 9:30 when we were leaving, no one had shoveled or cleaned snow except some plowing on the walk back to the treehouses from the parking lot. The stairs up to the treehouses and walkway connecting them should have been cleared for safety purposes-the stairs were not safe. The novelty of this place might be worth more in warmer seasons but definitely not worth the price we paid for one night in the winter. We did not use the sauna or hot tub. They were nice and preheated the tub even though we didn’t request it but it didn’t get warm enough for us to try it.
