Kenai River Fishing at it's best!
We have a fishing cleaning station right at the river. We have 4 sets of stairs that go down into the river making it very easy to fish. The cabin has two bedrooms. One with a full size bed and twin size bed. The other with a full/twin bunk bed. Although the cabin can accommodate up to 6 people, there is only one bedroom and only about 480 sq. ft. We have a picnic table outside with two gas grills for you to share with the other 2 cabins.
Ok except for lots of black ants . Killed 25 or so the 1st day. Then we sprayed and it was just a few a day! Wives may not enjoy but on the river, nice cleaning area.
Our group had a fantastic time fishing at the docks associated with this property. The property itself was clean, well-stocked, and taken care of. It is not a large property but accommodated our group of 5 well. Would definitely stay here again.
Check in was easy. Itâs cabins that are mostly used for fishing so most of your time is spent on the river. Location is close to town for food and groceries and easy to get into and out of the property.
We rented units 2 and 3 for 8 people. It was perfect for a week-long fishing trip. Scott the owner is very responsive and great to deal with. It will be my go-to spot for fishing camp.
I had a work trip in Soldotna, and got the opportunity to stay in this cabin! Do be aware that the iron in the water has discolored the sink and the shower, so it looks dirty, but it is not. This is NOT a Hilton. If you want a Hilton, you book a Hilton. This cabin is a place to cook dinner and lay your head when you aren't out at the stunning Kenai River out back. TBH, if this was a 5 star hotel I wouldn't have wanted to be in it with the views out back. I was fishing at night between runs and after work, didn't catch a single thing, and I'd do it again a million times in a row just to see the sun go down over the river with a bourbon and coke in hand. 10/10, do recommend.
Cabin was good, fishing was just picking up for second sockeye run. We did have a few on in front of the cabin and managed to land one. We ran up to the Russian river and caught a few more. Nice area. Homer halibut excursion was awesome.
Although we spent most of our time for 7 1/2 weeks working at the hospital I found this cozy little apartment a wonderful place to call home at the end of stressful days. I really enjoyed the convenience it's proximity to Soldotna, 8 minute drive to hospital. The river is a 9 iron from the deck and I want to return in the summer. A great place to hang your hat while in town.
Over all the cabin was small but sufficient for our stay. Not much room to move around but was a great price and close to town and a short walk from river. Beds were not real comfortable and there was no hand soap when we arrived. Not a big problem but not welcoming. Also all the windows were open and it was quite cold inside but the heater works really well in main area so it warmed up quick.
We had a great stay and enjoyed the cabin. It has all the basic kitchen items and we cooked there several times. Had great cable package lots of channels which came in handy with the fall weather. There are 2 other cabins on the same property no one was there during our stay so it was nice and quite. River access is very nice.
The units bathroom needs repair and securing the property from unregistered guests that trespass on to the property to fish is a big problem.
Management resolved the trespassing issue this year which made our stay much more enjoyable.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Kenai River Cabins.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Kenai River Cabins. The cabins were small but comfortable. They were clean and close to restaurants and supermarkets. What we enjoyed most was that they were close to river fishing. Only about 200 yards from the cabin to the fishing platform. We have already booked for next year (2018). Keep up the good work and thanks for having us back. Rickey Dodson
Location was perfect for us as we did the Russian river and kasilof river each day. Could use some updated pillows, but overall was great to stay. Dont drink the water;) We had all six of our family staying there. Six was a hit cramped, bit doable. Loved being able to clean our fish there by the river, and being able to use a washer and dryer.

Definitely for men fishing and being out all day!
We left a night early as the guests above us were very noisy!

Great spot in Soldotna.
I stayed in the middle of a crazy winter snow fall, the place was cozy, had everything I needed and was clean. I'd definitely stay again. The only issue was shoveling. I stayed 4 days and the driveway and path to the door were never shoveled. I made it through in my Jeep, but got snow in my boots. It was an unusually big snow for the area this time of year.
Cabin was nice size for 4 people. Fishing was pretty good and just short walk down the hill. A ceiling fan would be nice in the living room area, but other than that it was well stocked and was a great stay.
The three of us enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It was clean for us men, great customer service when a question was asked. We recommend this unit for others who want to fish either the Kasilof or the Kenai. It was a bit of a drive to the Russian where our best fishing was. They could have left us a bit of information on river accesses. We had to figure it all out. We did have a great time and appreciated having this unit available for us. Thanks much.
