Enjoy all the comforts of home in this beautifully appointed Mission Style house on 10 acres in Ballard. Think location, location, location! Four miles from the gift shops, museums, restaurants and wine tasting bars in the quaint Danish Village of Solvang; two miles from the Western shops, museums, restaurants and wine tasting bars of Los Olivos; and five miles from the shops, museums, and restaurants in the western village of Santa Ynez. There are 70 wineries in the area where you can taste vintage local wines of the region. Twelve of those wineries are within three miles.

Set back over Hidden Hills, property features panoramic views of the local mountains and vineyards. The large upstairs master bedroom offers a vaulted ceiling, an oversize walk-in shower, and closet.. Large 2nd bedroom with en suite bathroom .downstairs.. Walk in shower and closet . sitting area , 50 in smart TV and service bar w/minifridge. The upstairs great room is spacious with open beam vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace, 55in Smart UHDTV with DVR, DVD and CD player. KIZA Broadband Internet for WI FI. ! The dining area has a table for six adjacent to the fully stocked kitchen. It features granite counters with bar seating, built-in cook top with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, washer/dryer and everything else you need for a home away from home. stay. The water is softened and has a reverse osmosis drinking water system with in-refrigerator ice maker. There is also a half bath, off the great room.

The property is beautiful and the casita is very nice! Our hosts were very gracious! The casita is set up as a main level and a separate second bedroom, with amenities, area which makes it nice for travelers who want to spend time together but also have private spaces. We loved our time there.

PERFECT WINE COUNTRY LOCATION!

The casita is well located and perfect for one or two couples. This is a very rural area and super quiet. The ensuite masters are on separate floors for maximum privacy. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to prepare meals with a seemingly endless supply of coffee. I think that this might be the best location for access to the towns, wineries and some great restaurants. This was a super good value and our hosts were great and super attentive when needed.

Great location

The house was nice and the property was beautiful! The unit worked great for us since it was two separate apartments, one on the top level and one on the bottom level. The view was amazing and super peaceful with sheep grazing on the property next door. The only thing we did not like was the pictures and description were a little misleading. From the pictures, the guest house being rented looks further away from the house. The property is honestly maybe 20 feet from the main house garage. The pool and spa are on the main house property, where the owners live, and if you go in, you are staring directly into their house. Yes, they are super nice and inviting; however, it is super awkward to walk onto someone's property while they are home and enjoy the pool while looking into their home. The description and the house pictures on the website do not mention that they are on their property through the back gate. I feel like if that is more explained better on the VRBO listing, then it would not be so shocking when you are actually there.

Amazing Retreat!

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The owners were so welcoming and the house was charming. More than enough room for our group (4 adults and 1 dog). Super close to wineries and Solvang, which was a bonus. We will definitely be back!

A lovely getaway

I booked this as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday. Family met us there and the four of us loved the place. Secluded, but close to wherever we needed to be. Was lovely to sit outside, enjoy the view and play a little bocce ball or dip our feet in the pool. Delightful! The host was very responsive to my questions leading up to our stay. And when the coffee maker conked out, he promptly delivered a brand new one (plus there was a Keurig for back up)!

Amazing Wine Country Guest House

Amazing property with gorgeous views only minutes from Los Olivos and Solvang. The pool and bocce were great. Hosts were super communicative and pleasant to meet with. Not intrusive at all. Really made us feel at home while we were there. Highly recommend.

Life Is Good at Hidden Hills Rd

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The amenities are well thought out and plentiful. The furnishings, linens, floors, surfaces, doors, windows, appliances, etc are all high quality and very clean.
