Hotel is very basic. Good enough for a one night stop. Yesterday I received a text message asking me to pre register for my checkin. I had to fill in all the details, photograph my id, bla bla bla Today when I arrived, the person at the front desk was not friendly (kind of grumpy), made me redo do the entire registration, then changed my card. When I said I had already done the registration and paid through Expedia, she rudely said I just do what I am told. When I got to my room I had received 4 messages from Expedia saying I had been charged. I hope I haven’t paid for the room 4 times. Service in the US is usually over the top good. This place kinda sucks.

We were in town for Notre Dame Football. Perfect spot to stay. Very friendly staff and close to restaurants, shopping for tailgating and the toll highway to South Bend. Very highly recommend.

In town for football game

This was a last minute stay for the Notre Dame football game and to tour Ruthmere Mansion. The staff on the front desk were so helpful and friendly and the room was surprisingly quiet being so close to a major road. Will stay here again in the future.

As soon as you walked into the hotel there was a funky smell that carried throughout the rooms. The newly remodeled floors were warped, peeling and crackling under your feet in the hallways from what could only be water damage. The pictures of the remodeled bathroom made it look nice, but the reality is that the floor and trim work were also damaged by all of the water that comes out of the shower onto the floor. There was globs of soap all over the shower walls and pan so that tells me they didn't even clean it because it didn't drip out into anything when I used them. They thought it would be a good idea to put the soap (hand washing) on the wall in the corner where it meets the other wall. Problem is the other wall had the only usable outlet on it and because they were so close together it rendered 1 plug unusable and whatever was plugged into the other plug got wet and had soap dripping from the dispenser onto it. I. E. my phone charger ruining it. (You don't think about it being plugged in when you're up using the bathroom in the middle of the night and in the dark. There was also a lot of mold on the bathroom door. Floors were sticky, the TV remote was disgusting had to go get Lysol wipes to clean it and it was still gummy.Asked for an extra pillow and was told they had no spare pillows, really? Had to ask for a hairdryer as they forgot to put one in the room. Breakfast was lacking
