This rustic Mountain home is located in South Tahoe Pioneer Trail neighborhood! It features a Great room, with vaulted ceilings finished in log pine accents everywhere for that great Tahoe ambiance!

It is equipped with extra amenities; 2 fireplaces, one large fireplace with granite rock and log accents, and one in the family room. There is a 70 in TV in the family room and 8 ft pool table in the family room.

It also features an large outdoor hot tub and gas barbecue, a jacuzzi bath in the master bath, large closets, cable TV viewing in all bedrooms great room and family room and has two decks. This lodge has cable broadband WIFI internet

The island kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, filtered water, granite slab counter tops with spacious oak cabinets. All appliances including washer and dryer, utensils, dinnerware, glassware were purchased brand new!

Conveniently located off Pioneer Trail close to Heavenly Ski Resort , away from tourist traffic, this home is only 10 minutes drive to the Y outlet shopping, 15 minutes to Sierra Ski Resort, 5 minutes drive to Heavenly and the casinos ; 10 minutes drive to golf courses and 70 minutes drive to Reno airport.

Garage Door key pad doesn’t work with ease. The fireplace wasn’t working downstairs- jacuzzi water level wasn’t correct - no head rests either. Kitchen floor boards had a few exposed nail heads. Downstairs couch had stains and a broken headboard in bedroom allows for banging throughout the night for person staying in masterbath. Not much privacy with outside on deck .

Home was spacious and suitable for our party of 10 which included younger kids (age 4-8). Kids enjoyed the hot tub and even said that was their favorite part of the trip. I was appreciative of the home’s large dining table that actually seats 10 (they had extra chairs available). Other homes that house occupancy of 10 often have a mismatch of a smaller table and counter seating so being able to seat everyone at one place was a huge plus. My only note is that we had some heating issues in the upstairs bedrooms- the rest of the property would be warm but the master bedroom was significantly colder. We found some extra blankets in the closet and that helped some. There was also a heavy snow storm during our stay, so that might have added to the heating issue. Property owners were kind and responsive.

The host was very communicative and quickly helped us resolve an issue with the hot water. We were able to get to the mountains easily and had a great yearly trip! However there were some things that could be improved. There was only 1 towel for everyone and when there is a hot tub there should be at least 2 towels for every person - no one wants to use their dirty hot tub towel after a shower! There was also a lot of basic things missing like only 1 oven glove, no measuring cups, and no extra paper towels. We ran out of paper towels the first day and had to go buy more. A bed frame broke from someone putting their bag on it, they hadn’t even laid on it yet. Not to mention the furniture in the photos is different than what’s actually in the home. There was also very questionable stains not the couches. This place has potential but definitely needs some more TLC.

First off, it was great to have 5 bedrooms with no bunk beds. However, there were a few things that the owner should know about in case it was not brought to their attention.- Kitchen faucet knob kept coming off- Main floor bedrooms became really warm throughout the night while the kitchen and living-room remained at a comfortable temperature throughout the night. We were not able to correct temperature in the upstair bedrooms.- Broken screen in main bedroom. We had to block view.- Home didn’t look like it was cleaned that well. We found a few things around the home that should have been picked up or cleaned. Some of the pillows had an odor and had to be put in the washer.- Home was in a very quiet neighborhood and it was nice.- Kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, pots and pans were the best we’ve ever seen in a rented home so far.- All in all it was a pleasant stay.

It was a beautiful spot to get away and spend quality time with my family. Not far from downtown Heavenly, but far enough to have some peace and quiet. Our host was amazing and left the place in wonderful condition. We look forward to returning.

Family vacation

Arrived at 4 PM to check in. Housekeepers had not finished cleaning house so we were unable to check in on time. Returned at 5:30 PM. Kitchen was dirty( counters, sink,oven dirty). No remote controls for the garage.(had to run up and down the stairs to open & close garage door) No lock on the hot tub. As stated in the contract.Window coverings were all broken and dirty. Carpets extremely dirty.( was asked not to wear shoes on carpet, but my white socks turned black. From dirty carpet.)This unit is in need of a deep clean. And update.Towels left in washer.

The check in process was more complicated than any other house I’ve ever rented. The instructions were sent in an email instead of just being on the app. Then the property manager called/texted me a few times to go over the rules, even though they were in the app. I had just flown all day and was ready to start my vacation. It shouldn’t be so complicated. The house had plenty of space, towels, and was well furnished. The cleanliness could have been better. There was some damage to walls and blinds, which wasn’t a big deal, but enough to worry me that I would somehow be responsible. So more time was taken out by going room to room taking pictures to cover myself. The mantle hadn’t been cleaned in some time. There were used fake nails laying by the TV.

Our Family Celebration

Everything was almost perfect. The layout of the house was great and everything was big and roomy. The only bad thing was the cleanliness of the house. The house is clean at first inspection but it needs a deep cleaning. The kitchen fire extinguisher has grease on it. The Oven was not usable until we cleaned it as it had smoke billowing out and set off the smoke alarm. The beds also had lots of dust and trash under them. All in all we had a great time!

Spacious Lake Tahoe home

We enjoyed having 5 bedrooms so everyone had their personal space. The dining room table was good for accommodating a large group as well. The home is starting to show its age as maintenance would improve curtain rods, stove burner top, stairway lighting, kitchen faucet. The paper supplies covered our initial check in but we quickly had to run out for more. The neighborhood was nice and had easy access to trails through the woods. It was generally quiet although we were coached on handling neighbors that might be less than inviting.

The unit had only very old worn out furniture (beds, couches, etc) the listing showed different furniture that was not present. All beds were very old and uncomfortable. The house needed additional seating as one singular sectional sofa was not large enough for a group. Also the fireplace did not work, which was the main reason we rented this place, and property management was not helpful in getting a repair before our stay ended.

East coast family vacation

Had a wonderful time with family and friends who traveled from the east coast to experience the snow in Lake Tahoe. The house was perfect for our large group. The kids had a great time in the entertainment room downstairs and loved the hot tub. The house was close to skiing, snow tubing and ice skating as well as downtown for restaurants etc. highly recommend this property.

Spacious home in a great location

Positives: excellent location in South Lake Tahoe with a huge forest perfect for wintery walks beginning just blocks away & easy access to the lake and skiing, a well-stocked kitchen perfect for cooking fancy meals, a large dining room table for all of us to eat around and play board games, and lots of space for our large group to spread out. Dennis called us the night before to emphasize the need to avoid attracting bears and the importance to noise and parking regulations (which are quite strict in Tahoe.)Negatives (not deal breakers): The hot tub had a mouldy odor and scum floating. (To be fair, we did not bring this up until later and did not give Dennis an opportunity to fix this.) When we complained about the lack of hot water, he called to explain how to fix it right away. The electric fireplace didn't work and instead vented cool air into the living room. This may only have been an issue for our group because we used the hearth for seating; if your group only uses this space to watch TV, it would not be a problem. There were other small issues - a misplaced garage door openers, spent batteries causing the smoke alarm to beep. Lots of little things, that were certainly outweighed by the positives.

Fantastic cabin close to downtown and slopes

We loved staying here to celebrate my fiances birthday with friends and family on a 4-nights trip! There were ample beds and bathrooms for our entire group, and the 10 minute proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, and Heavenly ski resort made the cabin a great destination. Dennis was a fantastic host, always available to answer any questions, and we would absolutely stay here or any of his other properties again!

Roomy house

Greeted by a bear inside the house.

Our daughter opened the front door and was greeted by a bear at the top of the stairs. She ran into a bedroom down stairs and the bear thankfully went through a bedroom window. The same window that it came in. The window is 7 feet up off of the ground. The carpets were very dirty, the hot tub was over chlorinated, the BBQ was broken. Won’t ever stay again.Nails coming up through the wood floors. Had to put tape over them so they wouldn’t cut our feet. Master bedroom shower was filthy. Over priced. We have been coming to South Lake Tahoe for 40 years and have never had as many rules and regulations as this house. I have never had to sign my life away with all the paperwork. It was absolutely ridiculous. We were told to take off our shoes in the house, which we did and at the end of the day the bottom of our feet were black with dirt from the filthy floors.

ANNUAL FAMILY VACATION

Owner was very attentive & helpful. The property location was good. Not too far from the strip & casinos. The kitchen was great except the kitchen faucet was loose. Furniture was updated and the big kitchen table was great for our large family & for game night! Beds were comfortable. We have been going to SLT yearly for over 32 years. This property is almost 5 stars. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because one of the beds has 4 long hairs in the beds & the staircase (in & out) should have been swept. Those are my only 2 complaints (very minor). I would definitely stay here again!
