Good location for Heavenly, hikes, and neighborhood feeling. The home itself is very old and the carpet needs to be changed. There was a light urine smell everywhere. Good room sizes and big dining area. Only shampoo and conditioner provided. Also needs more light. Great backyard!

Family trip getaway to Tahoe

My family and I stayed here for three nights and felt immediately welcomed and cozy. The house had a warm, homey vibe that made us feel right at ease. Even our dog felt safe and comfortable—the backyard was perfect for her to enjoy. The property has great potential for even more charm with a bit of reinvention. Overall, it was a lovely stay. We truly wish we could’ve stayed longer, but I'll definitely be back!

Great location: 10 mins to Heavenly CA lodge, 10 mins to South Lake Tahoe, 5 mins to hike trail in the forest.Great neighborhood: roads were cleaned the same day after the snowfall.

Revive at your Aunt and Uncle's cabin in South Lake Tahoe

We had an excellent time staying at this home away from home in South Lake Tahoe. It is just like your Aunt and Uncle's house in the woods. Furniture is all comfort and worn with loving use. Back patio excellent for chow and chats. Our Furever's really enjoyed the spacious back yard. The location is in a quiet foresty neighborhood close to meadows and creeks. Great jump off point for time in Hope Valley, South Lake Tahoe and the Nevada side. We hope to spend weeks there in the years ahead. Peaceful Trails SRK

Pretty good location

The furnishings are definitely dated. We were out most of the day everyday during our week stay. They provided basic minimal supplies so bring extra. It worked for our needs.

Dated but worth it

This property is definitely dated, but overall it is a good place to stay with lots of potential and an exceptional and responsive property manager. We have 1 medium and 1 big dog and they were well accommodated; big backyard and plenty of room inside. We had a few incidents during our stay including an issue with the front door and garage door and an unexpected issue (not with the property) that forced us to leave early. In both cases, the property management was quick to respond and very easy to work with. The front door and garage issues were resolved the same day. When we had to leave suddenly, the manager worked with us and even provided a partial refund despite that not being required for the contract.

Mountain Cabin

We had a great time. We traveled with our pups and the enclosed yard was perfect. we walked every morning to the coffee shop (-1mile) along a beautiful path along the river and through a friendly neighborhood, chatting and meeting new people. We discovered trails on all sides of us. It was a great location and we really enjoyed our time.

Book Elsewhere

Immediately upon arrival, our group was met with an overpowering stench of urine in the dining room. This is the first time I’ve ever stayed at a rental property where we had to open all the windows, purchase a candle, and spray cologne to try to rid of the smell. When I tried to contact Love Rental through VRBO, all they did was tell me to contact the local property manager Chris. I tried to call and email him on the very first day of arrival since the urine stench was intolerable, however he only responded by email a few hours later saying that he can refund me for the candle we purchased and refund any nights we don’t want to stay there. He also asked if we had a pet with our group and we did — however my friends did not arrive with their dog until hours after I checked in. Being a holiday weekend, we would have no other place for a group of 8 and a dog on such short notice, so we endured. Unfortunately, this was not the only bad thing about this property. As the weekend progressed, we noticed multiple things in the house that were broken or just not functioning whatsoever: the sliding door in the hallway bathroom constantly coming out of its railing, one of the lights in the master bathroom fixture would not turn on, the lamp shade in the mater bedroom had tears through them, and the two front burners of the stove top did not work. This has been the absolutely worst rental I have stayed at. Location was great, but that’s the only positive. Book elsewhere.

A Big Disappoinment

First, the house is very old, like Ward and June Cleaver's. Problem is that their house was clean. This one was not. Hair on sinks, dust on floor everywhere, old soap or shampoo on shower walls. The lampshades are wearing through. Upon arrival, all electric appliances were unplugged, including the connections between the cable boxes and televisions. We never could figure out how to get any of the 5 TVs to work. Most are old style CRT. A handyman came by and figured out how to get one functioning. The garage door broke the first night I arrived. It had to be lifted and closed manually and would not lock open. So, any time I wanted to pull in the garage, including to install chains, my daughter had to hold the door up. I talked to the property manager the first morning and informed him of the garage door. By the time I checked out 3 days later, no contractor had come by to repair it. Due to the massive amount of snow on the roof, which partially melted during the day and froze at night, the front steps were covered in ice and a lawsuit waiting to happen. There were no tools in the garage, or salt, to break up or melt the ice. I'm grateful no family member fell going or coming. Finally, I had to shovel the driveway one morning. The only shovel was made of plastic and looked like it came from the kid's section at Walmart. The blade immediately broke when I began shoveling. The only positive experience was dealing with the property manager who was friendly and open to my listening to my concerns. Until major upgrades are performed, do NOT rent this house.

Enjoyed the winter wonderland

Street was not plowed 2 of the days but we came prepared with awd and truly enjoyed the neighborhood and the backyard. The house is a bit outdated, but with kids and a dog we preferred this. Felt like home.

Great neighborhood and location

The house is perfect for a family or even multiple families. Quiet neighborhood with quick access to downtown or Heavenly. Only negative is the televisions in the bedrooms are older models. So, you can't use your own USB device (like a firestick).

Quiet neighborhood with easy access to activities

This home was perfect for our family vacation. There was enough space for everyone to spread out, several trails close by for walking/biking, and close driving proximity to any of our activities.
