Beach Pit

This retro house is a property our family calls the Beach Pit. It was one of the original beach houses on the Island and some of its original features remain; vaulted slat ceilings and black and white parquet floors. Watch the world go by through the big bay windows, enjoy the beach wagon for time at the beach or hunker down and watch a movie. Dogs welcome at no extra charge, fully fenced yard.  

There is a security camera on the front of house facing door & a security camera facing back deck.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Pit property. It was very spacious for a 2 bedroom/2 bath. It was really nice having a covered carport to park our car under during the heat of the day as well as at night. Our two small dogs loved playing in the backyard. The location of the property was super close to a public beach access, just cross the street and walk across a small parking lot to get to the boardwalk. The property owner was extremely easy to communicate with and promptly responded to our questions. We would stay here again.

The Beach Pit was perfect for us and our dogs! The location is perfect, beach access right across the street and a block away from the Palms Cafe.The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need, the home was clean and well maintained.Highly recommend the Beach Pit for your next stay in SPI.

Great home and location in South Padre

Our stay at the Beach Pit was amazing. Jacob was very responsive from booking to check out. Home is a great bungalow with vintage charm and amazing amounts of windows to let the sun in. Beach access located right across the street. If desire to hang out at the house there is a deck with fenced in back yard. If you want to spend a great vacation in a great home away from home I would pick the Beach Pit....hope to be back soon!

Charming house with yard and driveway

As others have mentioned, there is some light wear. This is a beach area property, so some is expected. Wonderful is how we described the property and our experience. Conveniently located. Looking forward to staying here again.

This place is a real score

For the frugal yet discerning traveler, you can't beat this cozy spot. It's just across the street from public beach access, and one block from beachfront dining (Palms Cafe--decent food and drinks overlooking the beach). The street and neighborhood are peaceful and quiet, it felt like a lot of locals and families would be living there. The casita itself is absolutely adorable and the perfect size for a group of friends. The kitchen is fully stocked with the basics, and there is a big, beautiful table that would easily sit a party of eight. That said, we took all of our meals out back on the deck. The TV's have every entertainment platform imaginable, the furniture is comfortable and modern, the beds are heavenly, and the entire house is cleaned and well-maintained. One of our favorite features was all of the complimentary beach stuff provided by the owners. There was a beach wagon, umbrella, 2 beach chairs, and a bunch of boogie boards (such fun!!)--all stuff we would have had to rent otherwise. This is a thoughtful inclusion by the owners. Thank you for a great stay! We're coming back for sure.

Great place to stay on SPI

The house was SO conveniently located to the beach, well stocked and comfortable. Jacob was easy to contact and we loved staying here! Can't wait to come back next year!
