Ocean View of Beautiful Sunrises over the Gulf - Beach out the Back Door

I'm sitting on the couch typing this on my laptop, watching and listening to the waves out the large patio door.

Or, I could walk a few steps onto the balcony that overlooks the ocean and see a beautiful courtyard with grills, pool and hot tub. The security gate off the courtyard takes you directly to the beach.

Re-modeled kitchen with granite countertops, new backsplash and stainless appliances in December 2014.

Both bathrooms upgraded in 2014 with walk-in shower in master bath (see pictures).

Walking distance to many restaurants; some as close as a block a way. 'The Wave' is free public transportation that goes all over the island as well as over the bridge to Port Isabel that has a Wal-Mart SuperCenter and HEB for your shopping needs.

Free WiFi in condo; Fully equipped kitchen.

Our location was excellent. Close to the beach and walking distance to several establishments. The condo clean but had trouble with TV in living room all week long. Also there was not toilet paper when we arrived. I understand you are responsible for this but a roll to start out with would be nice.

Air conditioning was set on certain temperature even if we adjusted it went back to original temperature and felt hot at night. No kitchen trash bags left we had to get some. Location was great, we enjoyed our weekend getaway, however feel like the place is outdated with supplies needed to make it more comfortable and convenient stay.

We loved our beach view. The condo was very clean and had all the essentials that we needed.The location was great and we had access to a variety of restaurants as well as fast food places.The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with.

Relaxing stay

Overall this was an excellent place to kick back and relax on the beach. The condo had everything we needed and all in a fantastic location. The only negatives were that the mattresses are too worn down and need replaced. Instead, they put a foam layer on top. And the condo really needs a good deep clean done to it. It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Still leaving a 4 star review because we had a great time.

Great experience,except....

Everything was good.The room was clean and inviting.Oceanview and walking distance to the beach.Restaurants and stores were in close range.The only thing that I would point out is that there were issues with the A/c.It wouldn't even make it to the temperature we set it to and It wouldn't really cool either.Overall it was a great trip and worth the 7 hour drive.

Beach access for the win

You know what you need after a day at the beach? You need a nice shower with a removable shower head to get all regions clean. Then you need a kitchen that you can actually cook in. You'll want to eat said dinner on your balcony overlooking the ocean. Last, you want to lay your tired body on a comfy bed. You know what you don't want? Carpet that gets full of sand. Only one toilet so you're left stranded. Staying in a condo that looks sketchy. This place checks off all your needs for a nice beach stay. The shower is amazing and you actually feel like you've removed the beach from your body. There's no carpet, just nice cool tile. The AC works beautifully. And everything in the kitchen works. The complex is old but it's well taken care of. We will definitely be back.

Great mid May trip

We recently visited (me, my husband, 18 and 16 year old kids) South Padre Island for the first time a few weeks ago. We were going to see our oldest who has an internship in brownsville at spacex. It was great and this was just what we were looking for, right on the ocean and with access to the pool. It was a short visit, 3 nights. Sue was great, she answered me immediately when I had a question, although everything was very easy so I rarely had any. The front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. I really liked s Padre as well, it was quiet and peaceful, so many things were walkable, I'd absolutely come back and I hope to, mid may of course is very different than spring break (which I'm sure is a different kind of fun). This weather was so nice and everything was mellow. I'm posting a pic of the ocean and pool from the balcony.

Family Vacation

This condo was the perfect size for my family of 4! It felt like a home away from home. The views from the balcony were just like in the photos from the owner. Beds are comfy, everything was clean and ready to use. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to come back again!

South Padre Stay

Condo was in a great location. It was a short walk to restaurants and entertainment. It had a great view of the water and was a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed using the pool and the hot tub. The condo was clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay.

Great family vacation!

First time to SPI and already planning a return trip! Appreciated the on-site property management and the attention they paid to the upkeep. Great location to the beach and the pool was the perfect temp. Gas station close by for tacos and coffee. Fun stores, restaurants and Gravity Park withinshort walking distance. Sue was wonderful and accommodating when our flight home was cancelled. She responded immediately, this was very appreciated!
