We had an ok stay, spectacular? No. great? No. just ok. not even a greeting/welcome basket/packet provided. We booked for 14 nites but on the morning of day 5, we received an emergency call to get home due to an accident. Communication response time is less than desirable
if there was a fire or a disaster it would be terrible, it was a day or 2 before responses were received. The accommodations were deceiving from the pictures on line
totally needs a reset, being outdated and in need of painting and repairs.The pool was dirty & full of sand and debris, notified Javier & was told pool service comes on saturdays so beware. no pool supplies, such as floaties or pool noodles nor an umbrella/chairs to take to the beach. Handle on the gate is broken. My husband fixed as best he could so we could get in/out to rinse our feet as the multiple notices plastered in frames on walls inside will dictateNo extra TP outside of what’s on the rolls and 2 of the 3 were half empty, 1 roll of paper towels. No bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, no hair dryers in any of the baths which was very disappointing. The half bath next to the couch is in dire straits of an upgrade, this had to be a broom closet at one time because you can not even turn around & I’m not a big girl. the toilet is the size of my elementary students toilets & sits very low to the ground, the sink is a make shift from a camperFront porch lights do not work, it’s dark at 2am potty break. There’s more, but out of allowed space..

The location was great! We enjoyed that it was so close to the beach. The pool was dirty when we arrived. It had sand and a lot of junk in it. My husband cleaned it and even checked the basked that collects gunk from the pool and it was very dirty. He had to clean it out. The place is old and it needs some updating. The chairs in the back yard are old and one of them was broken. The living room couch was not comfortable and the cushions kept coming off. The upstairs bedrooms were not cool and it was also a bummer that we could not use the washer and dryer. The biggest negative was that a realtor walked in while we were staying there. My husband was taken back and even though he told the realtor we where there until Friday she was trying to show to place and asking questions. After that, we did not feel comfortable leaving the place and our belongings. We did get ahold of Javier and he assured me that the code was changed and that it would not happen again. So overall, we enjoyed our trip to SPI but would not stay at this location again.

parking was tight only room for two cars in driveway. the next-door Nieboer's truck got hit. hit n run. The pool and the close walk to the beach was amazing. it was clean. The dyer didn't heat very well; the king size mattress was a bit uncomfortable. and the coffee pot could use an upgrade it was small and a one cup at a time kind. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. we go to the island every year. first time in this rental.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It’s in a great location, just a block from the beach. The private pool is so nice and it’s a pet-friendly property. We really enjoy our stays at this property. It’s clean and has everything we need for a family vacation. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our ten day stay. Having a private swimming pool and a short walk to the beach gave my friend and I the true end of summer vacation we wanted. We had plenty of room with three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs and a half bath down stairs. Host is quick to respond.

Best Place on SPI

Everything you will need for your stay is at your fingertips. We love this property have stayed in both units. It’s a family tradition each year to vacation at SPI with our grandchildren. The owners are very quick to respond if you have any questions and always help to make your stay a memorable one!

Great Rental

The public beach access is next to the Wanna-Wanna Grill, just a few minutes walk from the property. There is also a Valero equally as close in the opposite direction. We enjoyed our stay and the kids had a great time! We'll keep an eye out on this place the next time we come back.

The place was good but the master bedroom needs a new mattress, not very comfortable and you can tell that is super old because it sinks in when you lay down. Javier was a great first contact and resolved our issues within minutes.

Weekend getaway

This was perfect for my family's weekend getaway. It was clean and spacious and it had all the basics needed such as pots and pans, cooking utensils, plenty of plates and cups. Napkins, extra trash bags, and toilet paper were also there as well as dish soap and hand soap! The was a great place to stay at.

Great experience

We had a great time, we had previously booked at a condo for the end of the week and wanted to come down a few days early and just enjoy family time so we found this townhouse and thoroughly enjoyed it. We wish we would have booked this place for a complete week! Our kids loved the pool and convenience of getting in/out all day. We went to the beach in the evenings so it wasn’t too packed and was about half a block away!

Pros: Outstanding location, parking, flexible schedules (I had to change our dates a few times and owner was great), private pool, closets and beds were comfy Cons: Dishwasher tips out when you pull the racks, front door knob practically falling off (I had to buy a screwdriver and reattach it), almost no household items (detergent, soap, shampoo, etc), stopper in master sink had to be pried open to avoid overflow, available utensils, cups were very old and stained, dryer had to be run multiple times to get anything close to “dry”. Overall, it met our primary need but it’s in need of some love and investment. The furnishings were sparse and almost no decorations or coziness. I also killed a huge roach so I don’t know the pest control status.

Awesome Place

My husband and I have stayed now in both units. It's sometimes difficult to stay at a "decent " place that allows pets. It was perfect! short walk to beach, restaurant, fenced in yard, quite neighbor hood,plus your own pool! We will continue to rent this townhouse for every visit to S. Padre!

Weekend Getaway

Excellent location. Close enough to walk to Wanna Wanna. Pool was clean and area well maintained. Living room has minimal seating, but having plenty to do outdoors didn’t make that a terrible situation. Dryer takes forever to dry.
