South Texas in the Winter? on the Beach!

Spend the cold winter months at South Padre Island Texas in your own rented condo unit. South Texas climate is comfortable winter or summer. The Dolphin Condo unit is equipped with an outside balcony with each private bedroom. Each of the two bedrooms has a queen-sized bed and private bath along with a closet. Between the two bedrooms is a "loft" area which contains two twin beds. All these are upstairs.

Downstairs the kitchen is fully furnished with a dining table which seats six and two chairs at the kitchen bar. There is a 1/2 bath downstairs along with washer/dryer.

Backyard commons area to the Dolphin Condo complex has swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Two designated parking areas per unit are afforded. Grocery store and Island Clinic 1/2-1 block away. The beach of South Padre, which is the most beautiful beach in Texas, and what SPI is noted for, is directly across Gulf Blvd. from the Dolphin Condo complex.

Other activities available are: para-sailing, sail-boarding, dolphin watching, the south Texas version of the nationally famous Schlitterbahn Water Park, and beautifully designed and challenging South Padre Island Golf Club. A short drive nearby lands one at the 45,000 acre Laguna National Wildlife Refuge for birdwatching and animal observance. Matamoros, Mexico is only a short 35 minutes away for shopping, sightseeing, and also medicine purchases.

**Please NOTE. Dolphin Condo associational rules absolutely prevent renting to Spring Break participants, i.e. students unless there is parental accompaniment with the students.**

Everything in the condo worked as expected. Nice quiet location yet close to everything. Dennis was a particularly accommodating host and was easily available to help with our questions. He made an extra effort to let us know as soon as our condo was cleaned so we could get in earlier than expected.

Perfect location: grocery store, beach, restaurants and shopping all within walking distance!! This townhouse is huge and very well stocked. Pool area is nice with plenty of loungers. Lots of bang for your buck here! Way more than I expected for the price. Beautifully decorated with nice, comfy furniture. Definitely will look into staying here next time we’re near SPI.

The Dolphins

Very clean thanks to Jenny. Older unit, older furniture. No hair dryer. Beach towels and chairs would have been nice. A shelf of some sort in the showers would be helpful. Stairs are dangerous. Only one tv in one bedroom, and no remote so it did not work.It was a decent place, but nothing fancy. I appreciate a clean unit and it was! We enjoyed our stay.Parking can be a challenge because spots are not large enough for big trucks. Our neighbors regularly parked over the line into our spot.

Great vacation

We stayed at this condo for the month of April 2023 and we were very pleased. Condo was nice and clean, in a great location to beach, grocery store, and restaurants. Beach was great for walking and watching sandcastles being built. Water was a little rough for swimming but the young people enjoyed the waves (we are seniors). Be aware that the condo has stairs to the second floor, but the condo itself is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Parking is convenient in front of the main door. Swimming pool and hot tub were always clean and inviting, and while we were there we mostly had them to ourselves. We appreciated the washer and dryer in unit. We did 3 dolphin boat tours, each one a little different from the others, really enjoyed being out on the water. Also enjoyed the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville. Lots of restaurants to choose from, especially enjoyed Yummies & Meatball Cafe.

Hadn't received our text to get into our condo prior to our arrival. I just simply called Dennis and he sent the proper materials I needed to enter. We did find clothing in drawers and the closets which somewhat concerned us. After our stay I did notify Dennis and tell him. The condo was very clean and was supplied with everything you possibly could need. Enjoyed our stay.

Nive beach condo

Dennis was very easy to work with and very friendly. The location is great with a short walk to the beach. Sand toys and a surf board are in the condo which made for fun times building sand castles and playing in the water. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
