We highly recommend that you book your ferry as soon as possible as ferries get very busy. You can call Calmac on 0800 066 5000. For ferries that travel to Orkney are Northlink Ferries 08001114422 and Pentland Ferries 0800 688 8998.
Fabulous location. Right on loch, close to most beautiful beaches. Both with temps way above the NE.
Best family holiday for years. Nice touches here and there. If you arrived with nothing in the middle of the night youâd cope what with the spare/extra food and household essentials. Great to not have to be concerned about bedding or towels. Sorry we ended up with 3 towels in our laundry. Will launder and return.
The views are amazing. The loch warm enough to swim in. And fish. Donât know about the rules of the latter but we caught nothing anyway.
The beaches are somewhat amazing- even though we live in Northumberland which takes some beating.
No WiFi- well sketchy 4G but that made my holiday better. Mum the only one with WiFi access. Will visit again thatâs for sure.
