Very poor lighting in the bathroom as nothing over the basin, impossible for shaving. Very plain dreary decor in bedroom combined with thin long window giving low natural light levels.

Hotel, modern and clean. Our room had a dirty towel which was unfortunate as the rest of the room was clean. Aircon was good and room was quiet. I think its digusting that you have to pay to park, especially when you already are paying to stay in the hotel and the car park for the retail park next door is free for 4 hours.

Perfect overnight stay before my early flight. I stayed just one night at Holiday Inn Southend before my 6:30 AM flight, and everything was exactly as I hoped. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable — even the bathroom and shower were spotless and well-designed. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which really helped me rest before travel. I’d happily stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone flying early from Southend Airport.

Easy to locate hotel, better entrance direction signage is needed. Receptionist was very welcoming n warm. Room was comfortable. Would prefer walk in showers. Evening dinner at top floor overlooking airport side was impressive. Food was above average but not top chef cooking sadly.

A one night stay for us, before catching an early flight from Southend Airport, lovely attentive staff throughout the hotel. We dined in the restaurant which has great views over the airport, the food was equally great. A veey pleasurable but short stay.

Becca who works at reception on the main desk is polite and professional. A fantastic first impression and a major assest to the hotel. The restaurant experience was middle of the road. The chicken Kiev meal arrived and was not as advertised in the menu. I requested a glass of wine twice with my meal and it did not arrive. Overall front of house staff are fantastic. Restaurant staff need to focus more on customers and less on day to day tasks.
