This beautifully landscaped property is one half acre in size with wooded and open areas and a private bulkheaded lakefront. It is ideal for families with young children who like to explore. The house comes completely furnished, with the exception of towels and linens.
Just down the road at the end of the lake is Peconic Dunes Camp, a summer camp operated by Suffolk County. The village of Southold is just a five minute drive away, as well as 20 of the North Fork's finest wineries. Other local visitor attractions include the historic port villiage of Greenport, Horton's Point Lighthouse, and Goldsmith's Inlet County Park.
A little house that had all the comforts we needed. Wonderful location and beautiful property. The house was on a pond which created beautiful waterfront views. The owner was very attentive and helpful.
House and yard were as described. The location was close to everything yet had plenty of room for our dogs to play. Kitchen was equipped to be able to cook what we needed. Great stay in Northfork!!
Nice home and bigger than the home pictured. Very clean and comfortable. Great property location! Enjoyed watching the variety of birds everywhere. Would definitely recommend. Only issue sketchy internet connection.
Two of my older kids went for their first time to sleep away camp at Peconic Dunes we wanted to stay close so I rented this little cottage for my husband, 2 younger kids, my niece (to join for a few nights), and myself. It was right on the lake that my 2 older kids camp so we could hear the campfire songs at night. We spent our days going to all the local farms for our meats, veggies, fruit, cheeses, and tried a different pie every night. We brought our own kayaks for the pond and my 4 year olds caught fish in the evening. The sounds is a little walk and we would go in the am and evening. Itâs permit parking only so you have to walk. On Friday Evening the local synagogue does a Shabbat service on the beach which was beautiful and my two little kids loved. We had to bring our own sheets and towels which o have never did and didnât realize what a pain that was until we had to do it. The kitchen was stocked okay wish we had better knifes for cooking and a Big bowl for a salad. We did have a problem with ants even though I took out the trash every night. My husband and I ended up sleeping in the living-room every night because the only A/C in the house was in the living room and it was to hot other wise. We purchased a few fans to direct the air from the living room to the other bedroom that was being used. Lawrence responded quickly With questions.
Larry was wonderful directing us with logistics and details such that we could embrace our weekend to the max. Very clean and organized place located in a peaceful spot of Southhold. We enjoyed, thank you!
The North fork of Long Island have a lot of nice areas and bringing our dog for this short vacation renting this little house was a good option. The interior was old but very clean and in good condition. The garden was nice but we were a bit unlucky as it had been invaded by geese when we visited. Old and mixed style kitchenware, still we found everything we needed.
