What a perfect spot to enjoy a trip to Southwest Harbor from! This property has ocean access and is within a 5 minute walk of our charming village, area shops and restaurants. A Perfect Acadia getaway for a couple or individual touring our beautiful region! This unit features a king-sized bedroom, as well as a private outdoor seating area or share the small yard of this historic inn property. This shared space will include a gas grill and fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Bring your kayak as we have a private boat ramp right out front. We are located just minutes from local eateries/shops, and popular Acadia National Park sites such as Echo Lake, Seawall, and Bass Harbor Head light. This adorable vacation apartment is the perfect spot to rest and recover from the amazing adventures you'll have here on MDI! Better pictures to come later this spring!

Everything was super easy. Apartment is small, but had everything we needed. It was perfect for us! The little patio by the garden was a great spot to enjoy our morning coffee. Even got to watch a hummingbird flit about the flowers. Walking distance to town with plenty of food options amd shopping.

This apartment is perfect for a couple on vacation. Very basic, but very clean and comfortable. Not huge, but big enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return!

Great Place/Great Location

The place was as good if not better than advertised. The location was close to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, etc. The South Harbor town itself was really cool and you could walk to virtually everywhere including restaurants. Our host was great. Included within the "apartment" she included recommend places to eat (breakfast and dinner), places to have a cocktail, etc. This is a really nice touch that many VRBO's do not include. All were within walking distance!! Our host was very accessible to answer any and all questions. I would highly recommend her place and would not hesitate to come back and stay again!

christy was terrific. very responsive to anything we needed. the garden terrace was cozy, clean very neat and comfy. a perfect nest for 2. a/c was quiet and cold, just like we wanted. buy your groceries in bar harbor. SEHarbor grocery store very expensive. don’t miss the car museum. terrific place.

Homey, Cute, and Clean

Loved our stay in Southwest Harbor! The place was so nice and homey - very comfortable. The location was great for being a little away from Bar Harbor but easy enough to go to whenever you felt like it. The internet is a little spotty, but we made it work. Very clean place which is so important.

Wonderful Stay

Thank you Christie. The Garden Terrace at the Captain Mayo house was a perfect location in Southwest Harbor. Quiet village centrally located in the park. The apartment was very clean and comfortable! Highly recommend.

Great little spot on the harbor

Cozy, with a huge bed, good-sized bathroom and kitchen, well-appointed. Walking distance to restaurants and shops, some interesting museums. Really a great spot, with lovely hosts.

Perfect Acadia getaway

Can't say enough about our stay at Christie's place. Very clean and a perfect location for our Acadia vacation. Christie was very responsive and was also kind enough to invite my family down for the 4th of July fireworks gathering that the locals were having. Wonderful place with an excellent host.

Cozy apartment by the harbor

The apartment was so cute and perfect for a weekend getaway! We appreciated the pancake mix and syrup so we could have breakfast before some hiking. Bed is comfy and the views of the stars from the garden were amazing! The Dysart’s were very friendly and made the space the perfect spot to relax!
