We had a wonderful stay at the Jupiter Heritage Hotel in Split. The location could not be better—it’s right inside Diocletian’s Palace, so everything from the cathedral and Peristyle to the Riva promenade is just steps away. It made exploring Split so easy and saved a lot of time and transportation costs.

We found this hotel to be in very poor condition. Everything was broken- no air conditioning, no safe, lights hanging off the wall in the bathroom, towel heater, coffee maker, the toilet paper roll kept falling off the wall, the iron I requested was covered in black. The staff contacted management about the air conditioning but no one ever came to fix it. Take your chances elsewhere, this one is a fail.

The property was literally in the HEART of the Diocletian palace. If you’re looking for a stay surrounded by culture, beauty, and great food, this is it! Having said that, you’re staying in a very old building surrounded by busy tourism. The air conditioning wasn’t optimum but was comfortable enough. It is very difficult to get your luggage to the property so call the staff to help you if you need.

The staff was so incredible. The parking situation was a bit challenging ( to say the least) for us but the most beautiful girl Dreams quickly rectified my parking woes and got the trip off to a great start!!!

Massively Overpriced. Misrepresented room description. The price charged was 3 times the price it was available for the day I checked in. A/c doesn’t work, noisy and the mattress is impossible to sleep on.

great location, but with drawbacks

So this hotel is in the palace, and our room overlooked the baptistry, but it's in a pedestrian area and 20+ steps to get to it, which are both uneven and steep in places. google maps is OK to find it but it's down a side alley, with no signposts. Our room was one of the ones in the room photos, but the photos don't show the 4 steep steps from the room to the bathroom, with no handrail. Air conditioner was blocked by the curtains and the tie back in the picture is no longer present. Lamps were so large as to block any other use of bedside tables, and the ccables were frayed with one exposing live conductors. too much furniture so no space to open bags. no sockets to plug in chargers in good locations
no mount for the shower above waist hieght, but a bath filler ( not over a bath )

The location was fantastic and we liked the quirkiness of where it was, in the palace. A couple of staff could have been a bit friendlier - some were really nice. Breakfast sometimes had stuff missing which wasn't replenished; one day lacked a working coffee machine, another day ran out of tea bags, another day - cornflakes ran out. The room we stayed in was a little run down and needed some maintenance - safe not working and not fixed (was reported), curtain rail seemed damaged, and we avoided using one of the lights because of the electrical fizzle sound coming from it when switched on! The transfers to and from the airport were fantastic, with both drivers being really friendly and helpful.
