A mixed bag

The room was ok though very warm (a fan was provided and the window opened) and the bathroom had no extractor fan. Chair & sofa were a velvet type material which I dislike. The curtains failed to blackout due to moth holes. The second floor has multiple stairs and each trip to or from the room felt like a hike. Breakfast was good and staff were attentive and there is plenty of free parking.

communal areas were unkempt stained carpets staff lovely. breakfast cold room fine clean bar area the carpets and seats were all stained. gardens were rough could not sit at tables as benches were rotten

looks great on the approach and has plenty of appeal ..Until you get inside ..what a dump for the price i was expecting 4 star standard rooms etc ..this is 1 star at best ..migrant flop house ...

Only stayed for one night for husbands birthday and we stsyed in a suite room. On arrive staff were helpful and polite On the whole the Hotel looks dated and needs a revamp as the decor looks tired. Our room also looked tired and the curtains where torn and drab. The actual room was spacious though and bed really comfy. We had the breakfast next morning which was great but again the dining room looked in need of a decorate

The hotel is rated 4* but it certainly felt less than that. The building and decor is very tired. Facilities are very basic. The corridors are of poor quality. Stained carpets. Chipped and marked paintwork. The cooked to order breakfast was lovely, however. Continental breakfast is basic. Good location for St Alban’s.

My room wasn't great this time. Stayed in room 145 and it was VERY small. No plud socket near the bed and their were lost of small flies in the bathroom. Bathroom was more than small without sufficient room to put my toiletries. I couldn't have the ironing board out and navigate my room at the same time. Dissapointing
