Welcome to Turtley Rad!

This spacious, 8BR/6.5 BEACHFRONT dream home boasts 6 King beds, 2 Double Bunk Beds (Double/Twin), 1 Daybed w/ Trundle and 2 Queen Sleeper Sofas to accommodate up to 24 total guests, perfect for multiple families!

The first bedroom is located on the ground floor with a Double Bunk bed which opens into a separate game room with pool table. Upstairs on the 2nd floor are 4 King Master bedrooms (2 Gulf Front Masters!) each with a private bathroom and deck access, a 2nd living room with Queen sleeper sofa, laundry room with full size washer/dryer and both Gulf and pool facing covered decks.

The main living area can be found on the 3rd floor. This large, open space has a Queen sleeper sofa, ½ bath, a well-equipped kitchen with views of Bob Sike’s Cut, 2nd refrigerator and an additional washer/dryer. A furnished covered deck overlooks the white sand beach and Gulf of Mexico. This floor also boasts a Gulf front Master suite with jetted tub and shower, and has access to the covered beachfront deck.

Just beyond the dining area, a stairwell opens onto the top floor suite, a comfortable space for a small family or older children. The suite includes a convenient mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and Double bunk bed as well as access to a covered balcony overlooking the private pool. Thru this room is a Gulf front Master bedroom with King bed, Daybed w/ trundle and full bathroom with shower. A private balcony completes this space with Gulf and beach views.

Additional amenities include a convenient elevator which travels from the ground level to the top floor suite to make loading/unloading a breeze, park style charcoal grill and a private screened pool with optional pool heat ($400 + tax for the week). The carport has covered parking for two vehicles, a fish cleaning sink and enclosed outdoor shower. A pet friendly home, we allow up to 2 dogs 50lbs or less with advance approval for a $150 + tax pet fee.

Just a short stroll along the shared beach boardwalk located next to the property leads you to white sand beaches and to Bob Sike’s Cut for fishing from the jetties or the best Sunset views around! As guests of 'Turtley Rad', you can also enjoy access to the St. George Plantation amenities which includes 2 community swimming pools, tennis and pickelball courts and Clubhouse with fitness center.

The beach was absolutely amazing. The kitchen was probably one of the better stocked kitchens that we have ever experienced. Plenty of cooking utensils, pots pans, etc.. The house was labeled an eight bedroom house. I feel it would be more accurately described as six bedrooms house with two extra sleeping areas. And one of those with no immediate access to a bathroom. Without making a trip upstairs. With that being said, we were overall well pleased with the house and our overall trip to St George Island!

Fantastic location, clean house, beach easily accessible. Kitchen well appointed, and the elevator worked great. The water was teaming with life; dolphins, pelicans, tons of bird varieties. There's plenty of room to spread out on the beach. Will come back next year!!

Amazing!! We come to SGI every Labor Day weekend and this is our new favorite! It had everything we needed for 4 familes with kids ranging from 10 months to 13 yrs old. Soo close to the beach was great for easy acces and quick naps for the little ones. Five stars!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was very clean. We had no issues. We did have 4 "single" sleepers - so that stretched the sleeps 20 number. A beautiful house and would recommend!

Family vacation

This property is wonderful, the house is amazing, plenty of room for 15 of us. Direct access to the beach, nice pool and the location of the home is remote enough (10 minutes from town) that we did not leave unless we went as a group. Great place for a family get together. We already booked for next year

Wonderful Memories

Our family of 12, ages ranging 59 to 1yr., had such a wonderful, relaxing family vacation. The home was beautiful, comfortable, so well stocked, and abundance of room. Having the beach just outside our door was amazing. The neighborhood was peaceful. We had such a good time on the Island.

we Loved every minute!! This house was amazing ! Huge , several bedrooms , great king size beds , awesome porches with spectacular views. we were there in April so we had a rainy day and some chilly weather , but we love the beach so it was ok. Highly recommend this place , will defininetly stay here again if we come back to this location for vacation!

We took our family on spring break. Location is amazing. Beds are comfortable. A lot of space. Concerns - water pressure in showers, only 1 ice maker working on the top floor, fridges do not have ice makers in them. Elevator worked once, just once. Pool unfortunately could not be kept to desired heated temperature that we paid additional for.

House is in pretty bad shape. Water poured in window with hard rain. things were sticky.. wooden tables, window ledges in kitchen, cabinets. Kitchen utensils were cheap and flimsy. Upstairs on 3rd floor was incredibly hot until we found out the thermostat was in the bedroom of the first floor?We enjoyed our trip in spite of these things and made the best of the disappointments.

Turtley Rad was a great layout for socializing with family or finding quiet time to relax. The kitchen is on the smaller size for a house that big, but we found it to be well equipped with all the pots, pans, serving bowls, dishes and silverware that we needed. The house is about a 20 minute drive from "downtown" but we don't go out to dinner so that was fine with us! The house is older, so it could use some TLC like fixing some cabinets in the kitchen and repairing the second dishwasher, but that didn't detract from our stay. The biggest inconvenience was no bathroom on the first floor for our son staying in that room...but he showered in the outdoor private shower and loved it and just used our bathroom as needed. We already booked our trip for 2024 and are looking forward to another great trip to St George Island!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Extremely disappointing house. The trundle bed upstairs has springs sticking through. My niece had to fold 3 blankets to be able to sleep on. The furniture is very tired. The individual sofa sleeper looked like it came from Goidwill. Sleepers r usually in a separate room or game room. Two were in the main gathering room where u would not put ppl. We could not use them. Several receptacles didn't work. One person could not use their C-pap bc of this. There was an open, moldy hold leaking water above one shower. Tge kitchen was full of useless trinkets. 4 wine openers, 3 cheese graters. Every drawer n cabinet was filled so we had to compact all to be able to put food items in. There were about 15 beautiful serving bowls n platters but the cookware was abysmal. Looked like beat up items from thrift store, no large pots. If u want to cook for more than 10 ppl bring large pots. There were 2 6 at slow cookers, one did not work. Coming down from the top floor in the elevator it paused so long between each floor that I started reading the emergency info. We did enjoy the icemaker and my king size mattress was excellent.

The property has a great floor plan and is well stocked with all the kitchen ware and amenities you need. It also has extra beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys for the beach. The location was quiet with no competition for beach space. The views are fantastic due to the amount of open window space. The main living area was spacious and had comfortable seating. All the beds were comfortable. There were multiple refrigerators and ice makers which was really helpful. This property is fairly old and is need of significant upgrade and refresh. There were multiple ceiling and window leaks during a storm and the wear and tear on floors, doors, etc was noticeable. Several of the sliding glass doors needed maintenance. The pool was nice size but also needs maintenance to address cracks and surface degradation in several areas.With some investment this could be a phenomenal property.

Room for everyone to eat and relax (two living areas and two large dining tables). Easy beach access and the elevator was key to my grandmother getting up and down between floors. Three total fridges, two dishwashers, and two sets of washers and dryers made this perfect for our group. Everyone talked about how nice and comfortable the house was. We immediately settled in.

The bottom floor bunk room and pool room are not air conditioned and the top floor including a king bedroom and 2nd bunk room stay very warm all of the time. Fans in these rooms help but if you need to be cool at night you may find this miserable. Love the 2 large dining tables in the common area but all the chairs and stools are in need of attention - very worn and wobbly! Love the seating on the balconies and the location to Bob Sykes Cut. The kitchen appliances are all due to be replaced as well but pretty well stocked.

Great Family Week on SGI

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second year staying at Turtley Rad and it was another great year. The owners have made some really nice improvements since last year (new living room furniture, repaired the ice maker and second dishwasher). While it is definitely on the more secluded side of the island, we enjoyed watching the boat traffic through Sikes Cut, and the sunsets were beautiful. We saw countless dolphin through the week. The only reason we aren’t returning to this amazing house next year is because we need a smaller sized. If we ever need an 8 bedroom again, we’ll do our best to come back to this one!

Also if you like fishing this is the place to rent and the view of the cut with all the boats going in out was excellent.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First, the size of the house was perfect for our reunion of 16 adults and two small children. The view from the house is to die for. Wonderful covered porches to view the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the beddings were clean. However, there were a few issues: one of the double door in the main room was not functioning. The light in the main room was out so it was hard to see to do laundry there. The kitchen was disorganized in that it took some work to find things. The ovens were somewhat dirty and there was no oven mitts anywhere. The furniture were well worn. Despite those, our stay was wonderful. Forgotten Shores staff were helpful, friendly, and communicated consistently with updates as needed.
