Seaside Vista was a private home for years. Now the new owner did a total renovation and has placed it on the vacation rental market.

Seaside Vista is the closest oceanfront villa to town; a very unique property, next to Gallows Point. Imagine being able to take a dip in the ocean anytime you like, only steps away from your own beach house! Seaside Vista underwent extensive renovation after the hurricane including new high quality finishes and all new furnishings which will make your stay truly enjoyable.

The villa is equipped with solar panels and a Tesla back-up battery system which automatically engages in the event of a power outage.

Most of the other options available in town are condos. Instead of sharing walls and a building with many others in a condo, you can enjoy the privacy of your own beachfront villa?

in 2018, the owner completed a top to bottom renovation, a real vintage Caribbean Cottage with modern touches done in a way to preserve the unique relaxing cottage feel, yet with an element of understated luxury. Because its just around the corner from Gallows Point, it hides any noise from town, yet its an easy 2 block stroll to the heart of Cruz Bay.

You'll enjoy the soothing sounds of the surf from the large 15' x 20' screened in terrace as you watch the sailboats go by. In the evening, enjoy fabulous sunsets year round plus the twinkling lights of St Thomas.

The air conditioned spacious master bedroom (14' x 12') has a king size bed with direct access to the large ocean view terrace. The bedroom's windows on 3 sides provide cooling Caribbean breezes and an ocean view.

The beautiful Restoration Hardware bath is accessed directly from the master bedroom. Seaside Vista is perfect for a couple as you can rent the cottage with the 2nd bedroom locked, and the rate is priced accordingly. (The 2nd bedroom is never rented to a different party.) The published rate is for the 1 bedroom, up to 2 guests.

The second air conditioned bedroom was thoughtfully designed in a nautical style with new twin bunk beds. A blow up twin mattress is also available for a 3rd child. For convenience, the bathroom is accessible right from the second bedroom as well. The cost for 2nd bedroom/additional guests is $50 per night + tax per guest.

The large newly tiled terrace has plenty of room for relaxing and dining and features all new furniture. The kitchen has been totally remodeled and features new counters, appliances and a more contemporary open floor plan to the living room (20' x 11'). A new counter with bar stools makes it a great place to hang. The living room has large ocean view windows with a comfy sectional couch and a doorway that opens up directly to the terrace. There is also a furnished private courtyard with a grill.

perfect location!

Cute little villa with amazing views and great location! Short walk to all the activity of Cruz bay but is also quiet. Screened porch is great. kitchen is more like a kitchenette but we weren't cooking anything but simple breakfast foods. There is a nice grill which would be helpful if you want to cook dinner. The bed is super comfortable and bathroom is nice. It's perfect for 2-3 people. It was also very clean!Michael was a great host and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Check in/out very easy and appreciate his very detailed suggestions for transportation and dining.We will definitely be returning soon!

Excellent Location and View

This was our third time staying at Seaside Vista. Being able to easily walk to town is such a perk at this villa. The screened porch is a perfect place to have coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening while watching the iguanas munching on flowers, the peacocks making their daily commute, or the occasional sting ray leap in the bay all while avoiding the mosquitos! The villa is petite but very cute and well-maintained and has everything we need for a week's stay. The new Tommy Bahama beach chairs and full-sized toiletries provided in the bathroom were also much appreciated!

St. John First Timers

Owner was very communicative in preparation and during stay. He provided guides that not only made the stay at the villa enjoyable, but all the options for activities, food, etc. in St. John. The property was clean and as advertised. It quickly became evident that parking is a premium on St. John and the Villa provided a convenient parking spot. The owner also had a property manager so there were two points of contact if needed. The location provided beautiful views and a location that allowed walking to many restaurants and shops of St. John. Definitely would stay again on our next visit to St. John.

Perfect Cottage and Great Host!

Everything about this cottage is awesome. It is located short walking distance to the main part of town but just far enough to be peaceful and private. We spent every morning sipping coffee on the screened in porch while watching sailboats come into the harbor. The sunsets from the porch were spectacular! There are a couple of small shops a few minutes walk away that have any provisions you may need. We didn’t need to rent a car because the taxi stand is a five minute walk. So we spent less money on that than we would have if we rented and didn’t have the stress of navigating the crazy twists and turns of St. John’s roads! Michael, our host, is super responsive and gave us lots of great information and recommendations for our trip. I highly recommend this lovely cottage! Thank you Michael for a great stay!

Perfect week in paradise!

We absolutely loved Seaside Vista! It was perfect for my husband and I on our 35th wedding anniversary trip. We stayed for a week. We spent most of our time on the porch, enjoying the beautiful view - one morning we were gifted a double rainbow. Michael and Leslie were outstanding to communicate with, before, during and after our stay. The short walk to Cruz Bay was awesome and we also took walks down to the little rocky beach and on the surrounding roads. Everything was just as described and expected and we will definitely stay here again on another trip to St. John. Thank you for a perfect week in paradise!

Our Week In Paradise

First of all we love St. John ( it is our “One Particular Harbor”)! Second of all, we hit the jackpot when we reserved Seaside Vista Villa! Loved the screened in porch - coffee in the morning and sunset Happy Hour every evening! Our new pastime is watching all the peacocks!! Another plus is how close the Villa is to the heartbeat of Cruz Bay, lots to do in town! The inside of the Villa has all the things you might need. Plenty of towels, dishes, glasses and anything you might need for cooking. It has a nice grill area too. There are even beach towels, beach chairs and a small canopy to pitch at the beach. If you are looking to be within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Cruz Bay, this is the place for you. Very clean and quiet and wonderful wild life just outside your door. Great cottage with amazing views and a perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The views from the screened in porch were incredible. We saw some incredible sunsets and enjoyed waking up with coffee there each morning. The condo was in great shape and had everything we needed. The master bed was comfy and the kids slept well in the bunk beds. The location was perfect. It was a short walk along the water into town. We rented a car half the time so we could explore more of the island, but the first half of the trip we carried our beach stuff down the hill each morning and caught a taxi to and from the beaches without any issues. If you don't want to rent a car while you're there, that's another big plus for this place. Michael was very helpful and informative throughout the booking process and leading up to our trip and he was very responsive during our stay when we had questions. Only good things to say about Seaside Vista. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
