The Moat House was a revelation, I was expecting high quality but it was better than that, literally everything was perfect. The room, view, staff, food, even to the extent that the biscuits in my room were gluten-free! (I had told them in advance I couldn’t have gluten but only expected this to be noted at breakfast!) I normally find something lacking in a hotel, but not this time. Thank you to all the staff, I’ll be back! 😊

Must stay hotel

Second visit to this lovely quiet hotel in lovely surroundings. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and spacious and there is plenty of parking . Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel and clean staff very helpful, the only thing I could say that it would have been nice to have the fires on as it was cold in the bar area when we were eating, the food was amazing and breakfast was lovely too

Good location, clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast service however is not that speedy, allow 35/45 minutes. I ordered a cooked breakfast but left before it arrived as I couldn’t wait any longer (single person table next to me received their breakfast even ordering after me). Mcdonalds breakfast for me!

It’s a quaint property in a lovely setting. The staff were very kind, helpful and caring. The room was spacious, clean, plenty of cupboard space, which is always helpful. Breakfast was very good. Dining menus both in the restaurant and bar, were varied and the food quality was very good. Overall we had a great stay.

Stayed for two nights , eve meal very good breakfast also good , although we needed it before 8 am on the sat , but chef plated us up one about 7.45 after we explained why

Lovely break

Our room wash really nice, everything as expected. Unfortunately the occupants in the next room were shouting and making too much noise at 2am but the night team soon sorted that out. Food in the bar was very tasty and good value. Will definitely stay again.

We only stayed for one night to break up a journey to Liverpool so didn't see everything the hotel had to offer. Bar staff were particularly impressive - efficient and attentive even though there were a lot of customers and a wedding reception going on too. A pleasant place to stay.

Nice and helpful.

The room was clean, spacious and staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, with hot and cold options. The beds were fine, being a little hard for our comfort. Pillows also not our comfort. We did have some excellent service on having left an item in our room and they sent it on promptly. Overall a nice place to stay for our family of four, over two rooms.
