Secluded getaway perfect for couples or families in the Shenandoah Valley. With stunning views and complete privacy, you'll have the entire cabin to yourself! The large deck overlooks the entire county, where you can cozy up with a book, grill dinner, or stargaze. Very close to the Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River, and Luray Caverns, as well as a vast amount of attractions just a short drive away!
Newly renovated bathroom & flooring throughout the entire cabin!
We enjoyed our little get away. The house was clean and didnât smell as if pets had been there. The instructions were very helpful, especially for the driveway. It is in the woods, so bring bug spray if you want to sit out on the deck.
Great base for a hiking weekend in Shenandoah. Note that the property has no WiFi, but we did have some cell service. The kitchen was not well stocked, but it was generally clean and tidy. Iâd recommend a car with four wheel drive for getting up to the property because the drive was a bit treacherous!
My husband, our fur baby and I enjoyed our stay. This location and house fulfilled every expectation we were hoping for when staying in Virginia (1st time to this state). Absolutely stunning view of the sunset. Quiet and secluded. The house was furnished with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Directions and communication from the host was excellent! We had no complaints!
I would definitely recommend that people staying at this cabin bring a 4WD car because the driveway was steep and scary! However, we loved the cabin, the patio, and the view. It was a cozy and quiet weekend getaway and we had a great time!
The cabin was decent for a trip with my dog and my hiking bestie to explore Shenandoah National Park as we were out and about all day however there are some adjustments made to the listing or notes that should be made for guests. First, it was tough to find since the address wasnât marked on the mailbox/property so if you are arriving at night it would be tough to find. I would also recommend a vehicle with all wheel drive to get up the driveway. We did get notice that the driveway was a bit tough to get up but with the rain I was glad I had all wheel drive as my friends car without all wheel drive was spinning its wheels up the steep driveway. Be prepared to walk up stairs while unloading and loading your vehicle and deal with bugs. Additionally the water pressure in the kitchen wasnât the best so either bring water with you or be prepared for filling a water bottle and doing dishes to take a bit (there is a dishwasher but it didnât make sense for us to use since there were only 2 of us and we used a few dishes). Aside from that, we did enjoy being able to use a kitchen and sit on the deck with a great view while reading our books. They also have a great DVD selection!
Overall the trip went really well and I was very surprised with the upkeep of the home! I liked the privacy and all of the pantry spices available for use.
We came here to celebrate my 40TH birthday and it was perfect! Beautiful views of the mountains and so quiet! The property had everything we needed and was clean and kept up. We will definitely return!
My wife and I stayed here with our dog and it was just what we needed. A nice cozy little place to escape from work and life. Having no internet made it that much better. My only regret was that we forgot to empty the dish washer before we left.No complaints from us....
Very comfortable and private setting. Wonderful deck. Driveway is an adventure! Good access to the park.
A bit dark as many burned out lightbulbs inside and out. Would have appreciated some soap in the shower as we had to buy our own.
Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
I loved this property. It was clean well stock. I would have given a 5 except, ( and think exception is due to my body nothing the hosts did) I'm 73 and the stairs were prohibitive for me.
Our stay at the cabin was great. The sunrise on the deck was wonderful, the cabin itself was cozy and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with anything youâd need to cook with. The A/C worked extremely well. Just make sure youâre comfortable driving up a long gravel road with sharp turns to get to the cabin, but other than that youâll definitely love staying here.
Right in the middle of everything we wanted to do on our trip to Shenandoah NP. The property was clean and had plenty of basic essentials. The deck/deck furniture had definitely seen better days and the bottom of the steps are a little unstable, but overall we were fine. Since our stay was during the summer the trees blocked most of the view, but it was very quiet and peaceful regardless.
My husband and I appreciated the privacy of the property. The cabin was very clean and everything worked well. Beds were comfy. Very spacious and well stocked with kitchen utensils, etc. My only advice to future visitors is to bring k-cups (there is a Keurig but there were no k-cups) and also not that the view is a bit obstructed in the summer months because of the trees in full bloom.
No internet but cell service for ATT was decent and I was able to use my hotspot for the smart tv.
Luray is about 15 minutes away and is a cute town with a coffee shop and some restaurants.
Location is everything! This cabinâs location was more than we expected. It is very secluded and perched up in the trees! We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the view and listening to the birds. The interior was all that we needed. Bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean and well equipped. The only thing we felt needed improvement was that the deck floor boards were in desperate need of paint and repair and the deck furnishings were sparse and had seen better days.
First impression of cabin was intense since the driveway is literally like climbing a mountain. Once arriving the inside of the place had like 10-15 stink bugs dead all over the floor around the place and you can tell nobody has been there to clean or check on the place for weeks probably. After having to sweep up all the bugs, i wiped down the couches with lysol wipes because there was a ton of dog hair on them and after i was done the wipes were dark brown from how dirty they were. The towels they left out for us smelled like mildew and werenât clean. The firepit that was advertised wasnât setup at all and overhyped. The biggest misfortune was the toilet didnât function as normal after flushing one time we couldnât flush the toilet again for 20-30 minutes. Seemed as though it wasnât getting enough water supply and even after turning on the valve that was turned off it still wasnât functioning properly. The water in the shower was decent as far as pressure but the bathroom and kitchen sinks barely got any water coming out of them. I literally wiped the counters and chairs etc because the place wasnât cleaned up before we arrived at all. Was disappointed overall with the experience and the cleanliness of the place. Wonât plan on staying here again.
Came to this property for a weekend trip with my family. Had an amazing time eating breakfast looking at the mountain views from the porch. This property is closed to Skyline Drive which has beautiful scenic overlooks. I highly recommend a visit here.
Highly recommended cabin! So clean, comfortable, and quiet. The beds are cozy, the couch is huge, and the porch is a great place for sunrises with your coffee and sunsets with your local wine! Our girls weekend was perfect with my pup too. We enjoyed a hike, a few local wineries, and the skyline caverns.
This was a great little spot to get away and in good proximity to fun things to do. The spacious deck was completely private and lovely for coffee, wine and watching fireflies and starsâŠthe cabin was comfortable and made for an easy stay-we cooked nightly and relaxed inside and out-good air conditioning even for hot summer days. We loved the suggestions for places to go-Luray is a 13 minute drive and the winery 5 minutes away was wonderful with live music and food trucks on. Summer Saturday. The Mountain and seclusion made for a perfect getaway near Shenandoah National Park-definitely recommend for couples and families!
The property was a great spot for a long weekend getaway. It was close to the Shenandoah National Park so we went to the park to do some hiking each day we were there. The location of the cabin up on the hill was awesome. It is very private and perfect if you want to have a secluded weekend.
We had a wonderful long weekend celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary. The cabin provided a lovely setting with great views. The interior was beautiful as well as the large deck. We highly recommend a visit if you want to get away and just unwind.
