Quiet Birthday Escape

Great cozy getaway!

Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayHost was very helpful as we had to change the dates of stay due to a work conflict. Location was exactly what we were looking for and even though there were other cabins on the property it still seemed very secluded!

Yes, we have 3 rentals on 13 acres. I really worked with plantings and structures to make each one feel very private. I know it’s important for getting away.

Pretty Good
Publié le 18 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was as advertised but a bit of a distance (typically 20 min drive to restaurants/sites/stores) and cute for romantic getaways. Fire pit had wood/lighter fluid to make s'mores. Only criticism is that some dishes were dirty and we did not have clean sheets. Rental manager was very nice!

The cabin is in the country. The nearest town is Steelville. Which is 5 miles from the cabin.
My cleaning lady has been with me for 5 years and does an excellent job. I’m not sure if the guest wanted a spare set of sheets. I do know that the sheets on the bed would not of been dirty. I ask guest to wash and put away the dishes that they use before check out.

Perfect weekend getaway
Publié le 21 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe needed a weekend away with some R&R and Jack’s cabin did not disappoint. It was quiet, clean, and cozy - perfect for the two of us! The cows across the road were fun to watch, especially the little calves running around, and the hot tub was perfect at night. Will definitely be back!

Needed better care
Publié le 17 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayNice cabin but in serious need of deep cleaning. Hot tub had fur growing in it, possibly due to being mineral water? Grill was full of use charcoal. Window A/C unit had thick dust all over it. Eaing utensils were sparse at best.

I’m not sure what the ‘fur’ in the hot tub means. We had it professionally cleaned out before this guest arrival so maybe there was some debris from the hot tub lines. I’m going to Steelville today to check it out.
I’ll also check out the utensils. There should have been plenty and mention to my cleaning lady about the dusty air conditioner.
