This hotel was one of 5 that we stayed at during our 3-week journey through various European countries. Of the 5, this hotel was one of the best. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, the room was adequately comfortable, and the breakfast options were on point. My only complaint was the room was not cooled enough for the high temperatures which averaged around 80 degrees.

Great little stayover

The staff spoke both English and French fluently and helped us get settled before check in time. Rooms were very clean and trendy. The breakfast buffet featured a good selection of carbs, protein, produce and even some vegan options like chia pudding and of course, muesli. Super convenient location right across from the central train and close to old town/ Cathedral.

Great location for arriving by train, or parking car in garage nearby, walking to all the sites in the center of the city. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Tandem again!

Not a 4-Star Experience The hotel has a good location, conveniently close to the Strasbourg train station, but the old city area is a more charming and interesting place to stay. Our room faced a fire escape, which wasn’t ideal. While the room design looks stylish in photos, in reality, it’s overly dark due to excessive use of dark tones, making it feel gloomy. The property has a nice courtyard and dining area, and the water bottle refill station is a thoughtful touch. However, there’s only one elevator, and it’s quite slow, which can be frustrating. An inconvenience occurred just 15 minutes before checkout when we returned to the room and found that our single keycard no longer worked. We had to go back to reception to get it reset, which added unnecessary hassle. Overall, this property doesn’t meet the standard of a 4-star hotel.
