As Backbone Bunkhouse & Hitching Post continues to grow, we'll be making ongoing improvements and adding new amenities for our guests to enjoy. Currently we multiple patios for outdoor entertainment, a sitting patio in front, back patio for grilling and outdoor meals, additional patio with attached fire pit area in the back with great views. We have outsides games including shuffleboard court and horseshoes. All of these recreational activities designed to make your stay even more memorable. We appreciate you being part of our journey and look forward to sharing future updates with our guests.

The space was welcoming, clean and quiet. It’s a fabulous location. We were at a family reunion but the location near the park offers a lot of recreational opportunities. There is a surprising amount of sleeping space. Shari was very responsive so any questions were addressed quickly. It was very hot so we didn’t spend much time outside but the new patio with the fire pit would be fantastic for cooler evenings. I was concerned that we only had one bathroom for 4 couples but there is a separate shower and toilet in the basement. We had 4 couples and no problems at all sharing. We will use this space again.

The location was perfect for our gathering situated right outside the entrance to Backbone State Park with a golf course right next door to the park. Shari reached out to understand what our plans were to make sure that we had everything we needed including a grill, ice and firewood. Shari was very responsive and answered all of my questions. She also provided a list of area restaurants and attractions and information about the park. Shari is making improvements to the property including a recently added patio which is where we spent a lot of time. The place is so relaxing and had enough beds for our group of 14. Shari was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this property for your next getaway.
