Proximity to the university hospital a plus. Ideal having a restaurant available. Complex feels a bit tired as though a refurbishment may be needed. Water station on the floor was out of order.

First off the staff were ALL really good. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel not so much. Old and worn down, very small. The rooms were small but clean. You enter the hotel via the car park- weird. No one to help you with bags, just do it yourself. Which is fine is a lesser, cheaper hotel. We won’t stay here again, not for the high price. Again though, excellent friendly staff.

The sheets were not clean, but since we arrived very late due to a flight delay we couldn't do anything about it. The curtains were also hanging off the rail. Overall very disappointing.

Service was terrible, we found that some off the staff were extremely rude. The chefs cooking was excellent. We will never stay at Mercure again. And i belive the room we received was not the room booked.

Check in staff was good. Room was ready early which was appreciated after a long drive. Shame about the bathroom toilet was dirty and the bathroom door which left us wondering what else hadn’t been cleaned. Other thing was happy hour signs 4.30pm to 6 but bar didn’t open till 5pm. Overall ok for a one night stay

The hotel is fine, but it is just a hotel, the pictures of playgrounds, BBQs and ping pong tables in the listing are not part of the property and are all found a walk away from the property in public parklands, something to be aware of if you're booking as a family thinking these are ammenities on site, maintained by the hotel, and exclusive for guest use. When there are a lot of properties across the Sunshine Coast that do offer ammenities like this it made this listing feel a bit deceptive.

Room - black mold all over ceiling in sleeping area. Single bed had suspect marks along side of ensemble possibly mold. No handsoap at the basin. No shampoo in the shower. This place was really good 2 yrs ago. Disgusting complained to staff, unable to offer me another room as she said they were fully booked. I asked to speak to management and she said they wouldn’t do anything more. She took photos of ceiling and said she would report to management. Imagine my surprise at hearing nothing from management today. I phone around 3pm snd was told he the manager had gone home. This is possibly the root cause of the problem. I have requested a full refund; I have photos of black mold on ceiling as well. This is a health risk and I most certainly expected to hear from someone in management. I am very disappointed and now very angry at spending my hard earn cash in such a filthy and poorly run establishment. To allow their rooms to be let to unsuspecting public is a travesty. I am happy to provide medical papers on the effects of inhaling black mold over 12 hrs. I spoke to the duty manager this morning on departure, he took notes, told me he could do nothing. Have me the managers email. Just not good enough. Surely this was passed on to the manager after it was reported to two staff. Do not stay in this establishment!!! I await contact from management

I booked two rooms for friends who had a family member undergoing surgery at SCUH. Contact with the hotel was smooth and very flexible. The late check in was not a problem and they found the. Beds very comfortable. Thank you very much. Would highly recommend
