The beach home Murphy's Law is all about things going right on your next beach vacation. A 6 bedroom, 4 bath, short walk to the beach home is located in Surfside Beach, SC. Comfortable and accommodating 16 with 1 king bed, 6 queens and a queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy all the comforts of home: fully equipped kitchen, WIFI, covered porches and more! Spend your lazy days lounging by the private pool or take the 1/2 block stroll down to the shore. Sorry, no smoking and no pets allowed.

The house was clean. It was a great location with short walk to beach. We did not get a chance to use the pool as it was October and we were there for bike week. There is also plenty of room for parking. Overall a great experience. Will rent there again.

Great location, but


Nice house with plenty of room and a great location. However, if you are looking for an ocean view, keep searching. The view from all 4 sides consists of seeing other homes. The salt water pool is very small yet refreshing. Not much privacy considering all of the 2nd and 3rd floors in the homes around you can view into the pool area. House keeping is very lack luster, unfortunately. The house feels sticky, damages to walls and door frames with stain bed comings (just to point out a few housekeeping misses). Lastly the air conditioning could not keep the house cooled during the hottest part of the day, just in case that is important to you. This is a perfect house to settle for if you procrastinate (like we did) and just need “something”. The biggest issue was overall cleanliness
or lack of. otherwise it’s just as advertised.

Needs a good clean and maintenance

The house was usable but could use a lot of work in the cleaning and maintenance departments. There were several posts in the front porch that were not secured, broken blinds and the pool area had a significant amount of weeds and mold. The house looked like it had not been cleaned before our arrival; moldy shower curtains, dirty bed skirts, dirty mattress protector, dirty walls, dirty/moldy lounge chair and pool floats, trash behind the nightstands and under the bed.

The property was very nice, well stocked kitchen and exactly as described. Dunes Realty was great and extremely responsive. Definitely will rent through them again!!

This house is overall nice. It is a very short walk to the beach and has mostly everything you need in the kitchen. My family and I stayed for a week and enjoyed our time in myrtle beach, everyone’s only complaint was the beds were very uncomfortable. Out of the seven beds in the house only one was updated with a comfortable mattress. I had no issues with Dune Realty and will rent from them again, the property owner could do better and invest some money in the replacement of the beds. I read a review from a few years ago stating the beds were uncomfortable and outdated and thought they had to have been replaced in that time but they were not. Also the cleanliness could have been better. I will rent from dunes again ,just not this house.

A/C went out on Wednesday; contacted the property management and they had someone there in 15 minutes. Problem required a tech but we had A/C back on in a couple of hours. Amazingly fast response! House is due for an update but all in all a satisfactory rent.

A wonderful week at the beach. Great proximity to the beach and beach access. Great pool area but would bring a canopy for some shade—we had one so it worked great. Really enjoyed it and would definitely rent again

Extended Family Trip

We had several family groups meet up for the week. We had plenty of room for both the adults and the kids. The house was super convenient to the beach with just half a block walk. The pool was refreshing if we didn't want to deal with sand for the day. Grocery and other family activities were close by.

Perfect Getaway

The place was even larger than in the pictures. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We loved relaxing on the porch and it was only a couple minute walk to the beach. The pool was the perfect size for our group. We had an issue with one of the smoke detectors beeping because of a low battery and they sent someone from maintenance over right away. The reps at Dune were so nice and easy to work with. I would absolutely work with them again.

Very relaxing and close to the beach!

We had a great time at Murphy’s Law! A short walk to the beach, which you can see from the balconies. The balconies were a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. The house is well furnished and had everything you needed in the kitchen. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We had a couple of small issues that were immediately addressed by staff and taken care of right away (burnt out light bulbs and a wasp nest). Thank you for a great spring break!!!

Loved this house!

The house was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed. Very short walk to the public beach access. One thing that stood out the most was Dunes Realty. They were excellent to deal with! I will definitely use them again in the future!

Great house and great location. Beach access was less than a minute walk. Only complaint is kitchen could be better equipped for a family house. Two slice toaster gets a work out with 13 people. Some wear and tear but over all accommodations were great for us.

We called as soon as we walked in they sent the cleaners back but the house needed a lot of cleaning ... last thing you want when your going on vacation is walking into a dirty house . Wonderful home but desperately needs furniture replaced.

The pros- location is amazing being just a few minutes walk from the beach, and a quick drive to shops and stores of all sorts. The house structure is wonderful and generally clean. Cons- the beds are absolutely horrid!!! No support from being completely worn out and in desperate need of being replaced. We had to request mattress toppers just to be able to make it through the week. The couches were much the same. Worn out to where you felt you sitting on the floor. The owners have multiple homes and bars but clearly don’t take pride in making sure you have a comfortable stay. These things aren’t terribly expensive to replace and should not be this far gone before replacing. Unit has a washer and dryer but don’t try and wash over night. The washer is so loud you can here it outside and it shakes the entire house. If you need to dry towels or heavy fabrics be prepared to wait as it will take you two or three runs. Overall we would love to make this a repeat spot but we will only come back if they have upgraded the furniture in the home.
