The room was nice. The hot tub was full of foam. that was nasty. they only had coffee and tea in the morning in the lodge. The lodge isn't used. the kitchen isn't used. the dining room isn't used. it's an okay place.

Hot water went out the evening prior to our departure, staff did little to remedy the problem, offered for us to shower in another room across the entire complex, no hot water at night or in the morning, staff offered nothing off other than sorry, our plumber will be here tomorrow. Horrible! Showering in another room would have required me to pack up 3 kids and lug our luggage there and back for 4 plus showers, not what I want to do or my kids on a vacation

I really wanted to enjoy our stay. While the cabin was cozy, it was not properly cleaned. Dog hair covered the floors, the extra blankets were dirty, and the towels were worn and dingy. A pipe burst in our room, damaging personal belongings, and after it was repaired, the area was only wiped with a towel rather than thoroughly cleaned. Overall, the cleanliness did not match the price, better housekeeping and updated linens would have been nice, as well as some acknowledgment of the issue of the pipe bursting in our room. A call from management would have made a world of a difference.

While the staff was courteous and the room was clean, we felt the king size bed the room was supposed to come with was more like a full sized bed that lacked support, which made the sleep quite uncomfortable. The heating situation was almost unbearable as it wasn’t attached to a thermostat so in the middle of the night we’d be overheating and would need to turn the heater off, which meant we’d then get frozen awake. The pillows had no structure, which meant you could layer two or three and still felt like you were resting on one. The facilities are definitely a little outdated and with the steep resort fee, we really expected much more in terms of amenities like a complimentary breakfast. The jacuzzi looked uninspiring and was a bit too far of a walk in the freezing cold to enjoy. Housekeeping is always upon request and you have to be explicit about what you’d like to have cleaned, which felt a little Scrooge-ish. All in all for the price we paid, we likely would try a different option next time!
