I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. room is not new but very comfortable. Staffs are very helpful tho some of them can’t speak English very well.

Complimentary transfer service a big plus

The hotel was too far from the MRT station. Without the complimentary transfer service, it would be too inaccessible. The room was huge with a hot spring bath. Enjoyed my stay.

Very nice reception and shuttle services. The room has a heavy smell of mildew. Maybe caused by the hot spring bathtub in the room. Room is also not well illuminated. But the hot spring bathtub is a great enjoyment.

This hotel's rating at 3.5 is totally misleading

This hotel is old and shabby, lack of maintenance, needs big time renovation. E.g. black water with mildew leaking through the crack..etc. There was no food at breakfast buffet when we arrived at 9am way before it ended at 10am. Even with replenishment, not much to eat. I felt embarrassed in front of friends by selecting this hotel which is overpriced for the value.

I'll go again.

On a whim, my wife and I decided we should go to Beitou for the weekend, so I started searching on Hotels.com. This hotel looked decent and the price was within budget so I booked it. It was rather easy to get to. It's about 10 minutes walk from the MRT station. There is a grocery store and plenty of places to eat within a few minutes walk. The hotel front desk was very courteous, the room was very spacious, and very comfortable. The bathroom and hot spring tub were very big. However, the hotel was a bit old, and sulfur spring water leaves residue. Acceptable as this is normal. The hotel breakfast was terrible. The girl working the breakfast buffet looked like she resented working there. So... just eat elsewhere. For the price paid... definitely worth it.

Nice Stay

The environment is fusion with Japanese and Chinese architect. The tub bowl is big enough to enter 2 fat people. The design of the bathroom is Japanese style hot spring.

Basic, personal hot spring experience

We arrived in Taipei at night and headed straight for Beitou. The traffic towards Beitou on a Fri night was slow, and the hotel quite a distance along a winding narrow road. Note that Nine Plus checks in visitors at 5 or after, and not at 3. The staff were friendly and responsive but spoke no English. There are no English versions of the various health advisories within and without the room. There are no English tourist brochures. The brochure receptacles were empty both times I looked. Our room was clean, the beds and covers were of good quality. For tired travellers, these are very much appreciated. Thank you. There was a generous supply of toiletries and the bathroom with the personal hot spring tub was large, though not of the size shown on their website! There were rust like stains in our tub but they were probably caused by the corrosion from the minerals than from lack of scrubbing. The cable TV and other electricals worked fine. Our room had little view, unless you count the tattered curtains (no kidding) and peeling wall. The hotel shuttle bus is operated by a slightly mad driver. Just hold on tight and wear your belts. The journey out takes less than 5 minutes.
