River Garden Charm on the Alafia

Beautiful waterfront home on the Alafia River leading to Tampa Bay and Gulf of Mexico. You will have access to the whole house and a beautiful dock and huge Sundek. Bring your Boat and fishing rods or skis. (Boat Docking trailer parking on premises) Excellent Fishing and Wakeboarding. In minutes you can be in Tampa Bay, Williams park boat ramp is just a few minutes away. If it's your lucky day you can see manatees, dolphins, snook, redfish, sharks, stingrays and more right from the dock! If you're looking for a nice waterfront restaurant we often visit Fin's or Circles in Apollo Beach, Joia on Gibsonton Drive, Rivers Edge or Tiki Docks on the Alafia, & Little Harbor in Ruskin. All noted restaurants are 5-20 mins away! The International Independent Showmen's Association Event Center and Museum is close to property and they have tours of the Museum. It can sometimes be noisy during some events. ( A few days a year). Please check for times and dates before booking if you have concerns.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay away from all the hustle and bustle and traffic. It was very relaxing to sit on the deck and listen to the sounds and to watch all the different animals.

I would Not Rent There Again

The lake view is nice, but water is dark and smell bad. The great part of this place is the patio area by the lake. Beds are uncomfortable, kitchen can use some update. House seemed titled towards the lake. House smell like sewer in the evening. House has no lights around the house at night, its too dark, can use some light around the house. Light inside is too dem, too many lamps but low energy. Bedsheets and comforter is not soft. If you like to fish, stay here there's plenty. Bring your fishing pole for some fishing fun. Inside light switches is placed in all odd places.

Place was right in the water with east access to Tampa Bay for my boat. Priced well for the place. Boat ramp is .5 miles to put in.

80th Birthday & Easter

We were in town for an 80th Birthday & Easter and our college kids were as happy as if they were 10 again. They fished, canoed, we spent most evenings on the deck. There was a carnival at Showman's which they walked too several times.

Great place

Nice large deck with boat lift. We saw a dolphin chasing a fish. This place was clean and had everything we needed. The host was nice and made know. That he lived on the street and let him know if we need anything.

Wonderful Vacation

The place is beautiful, quiet, safe and spotless. Gary (the host) could not be more accommodating. He made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Kory did a great job making sure the grounds were kept neat as well as providing whatever we needed to make us more comfortable, including lots of information about tourist attractions and places to eat. He went above and beyond for us during our entire stay. We did lots of walking around the neighborhood and everyone was friendly and we felt very safe being there. The place is very close to Tampa where we enjoyed a lot of sightseeing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were there for almost 3 months and we were so sad to leave. I would highly recommend this home to everyone.

Tampa Getaway

This house is in a very quiet neighborhood. We would have loved to fish off the dock, but Red Tide was high in the area. We took our boat and was able to leave it near the fence in front. The location is a short drive to downtown Tampa.
