The property is basically unserviced .. as in it’s not staffed .. if you arrive late on any day that the restaurant isn’t open, you’re hooped. They offer bikes for rent but they’re under lock and key after daily staff leaves between noon and 3. If you misplace your room key, you’re toast. It was great in terms of access to wineries and the town but as a hotel it’s pretty poor.

It is easy to book and park and rooms are just ok for overnighting. I guess the main charm of Barossa is to move around, go for wine hunting and watch some excellent sunrise and sunset - this hotel is centrally located and gives that flexibility.

We had a renovated apartment. Excellent quality, space, quality. Restaurant has limited hours but excellent service. Parking outside the door

Looks recently renovated. Our room was very clean and nicely presented. Reception and the restaurant were not available when we stayed. Only open from Wed. Is on the edge of town. Would recommend.

Can’t recommend

We were disappointed staying at the Weintel. There was no check-in service when we arrived mid-afternoon as directed. We couldn’t contact the hotel because we didn’t have a local mobile plan. The internet was out all of the second day, and no one ever responded to the email provided for assistance. The room is nice but too much hassle.

Hi Thomas,Our apologies about that - the day you checked in, our reception hours are 7-3pm, but we do always have someone available should they be required on-site outside of those hours. I had looked through the emails and unfortunately cannot find a direct email under your name, for future reference if easier give us a call directly (if you have a sim card) We do hope we can have the chance or rectifying your experience sometime.
