Step into the historic Taos Room at La Posada de Taos and experience the colorful Southwest furnishings, the fine artwork from the Taos and Santa Fe area and the feel of an enchanting and secluded hideaway only two blocks from the Taos Plaza. We are proud to have taken the time to be sure every detail is crafted and tailored for your comfort and enjoyment during your stay. The Taos Room has a private bathe and shower, luxurious queen size bedding, Dish TV, WiFi, refrigerator, complimentary gourmet coffee you brew yourself and an entrance under the portal that looks out over the flowered garden (in season) and Western arbor of the "Big House". The Taos Room sleeps two comfortably, but please remember that the entire La Posada de Taos Compound can accommodate up to 26 guests if you so desire.
Adorable little place! Loved the atmosphere they created and it was close to a really great breakfast location. It was just a stopover on our roadtrip so we did not see much during the day, but we would definitely come back next time we are around.
The historic cozy room in taos was very comfortable clean and super close to shops restaurants, art galleries. We slept very well. We appreciated hearing the church bells from Our Lady of Guadalupe parish nearby. Plus our room had a motherly vibe with all of the OLG artwork.
The unit itself was just as described and very nice. The roads to the complex are very narrow. Trying to turn into the parking area, I scraped my rental car on a stucco bldg. abutting the road. Just a caution - I was driving a compact car.
The property was beautiful and close to restaurants, museums, art galleries and shopping destinations. The courtyard provided a quiet space to enjoy flowers, birds, butterflies, and simply relax between activities.
I was in town for a few days of mountain hiking and this room was my home base. Perfect for what I needed. Very clean, loved the decor, and a quiet property and neighborhood.Loved the complimentary coffee! Would absolutely stay here again.
The bed wasn't attached to the headboard so the bed moved. There was no air-conditioning, I don't recall that in the listing? You stocked your refrig with Arizona Green Tea, why not water? Also Doritos? How about something unique to the area? You can plug in the coffee maker without moving the microwave. Big inconvenience. perhaps a power strip? You have us drop the trash outside where there is no bin, the skunks keep getting into it.
this was such a lovely spot I managed to land for a last minute two-night stay. Small and charming in the best Taos way. Pretty southwestern art and decor. Quiet, bed was comfy, blooming courtyard was a joy. Easy check-in, responsive hosts.
Great little getaway spot in central TaosExtremely nice courtyard with shade Quaint room. In walking distance from restaurants and shops. Plenty of free parking.Only a few downsidesBed was hard for my liking. A little dusty in spots (couch rails)Had trouble getting the bathroom window to latch/lock (but very safe feeling area and was not worried about this)Overall, a great stand would recommend
Wonderful space! Cozy and sweet. Beautiful area and easy to get to anywhere you need to go. As a taoseña born and raised returning home, it felt like I was in a casita from my childhood. 10/10
