The hotel is under new management. They did not receive my payment through hotel.com, and I had to pay in cash a second time. The hotel.com staff refused to refund my payment because they could not reach the hotel by phone. This is very strange.

Amazing stay at this hidden gem!!!

Just came back from an amazing trip in Uzbekistan. Stayed at the Art Hotel after reading great reviews on hotels.com. Well let me tell you....my room was huge, the breakfast was delicious with many choices, all of our requests were timely accommodated and most importantly Ibrahim and his colleagues went out of their way to help us with anything we need. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming and we were literally treated like family. The taxis are very cheap and for $1-2 dollars can take you anywhere within 15 minutes away from the hotel, which is the distance to all the major landmarks in the city. There are several restaurants nearby, plus you can order food and have it delivered to you by car. The service for food delivery is super cheap (about $1). There is also a supermarket called karzinka outside where you can buy anything you need. I would not hesitate to come back to this lovely hotel again!!!

Nice Hotel.

I liked this hotel. Not fancy, but clean, welcoming and has a garden to sit in. My bed a bit hard....but everyone likes different comfort. The breakfast has a very nice choice for such a small hotel. The location is in a safe and leafy neighborhood, only a short way from the airport. It is quite a walk to the nearest metro, but some things to do nearby like the Museum. Friendly staff.

A valid budget option

Hotel does not have a common area, the lobby, check-in area, luggage storage and building entryway are all one and the same, so it gets crowded and a bit uncomfortable. The door of my room had two positions: locked or open. I.e., you could not have it closed, unlocked. Breakfast was most basic of all (5) hotels we had in Uzbekistan. Still adequate, though. Wi-fi worked fine.

Homey place to stay in Tashkent

People are great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is home cooked and a terrific variety. Good location near a market and liquor store (hard to get a beer in town), but a couple of nuisance that can easily be fixed like curtains that don't cover the windows on the street level, a toilet flush issue (almost everywhere!) and a good thing I brought my receipt since they were unaware I had paid in advance (immediately resolved).

Nice hotel with good breakfast

This is a nice hotel in a quiet area, but still quite central. The rooms are simple but everything works well. The breakfast is very nice, especially the lady who prepares it. Staff is friendly, helpful and speaks English.
