Beautifully Renovated Farmhouse With Stunning Views

Rock Farm is a stunning grade II listed farmhouse which has been completely restored and renovated from the ground up to the very highest standard with our first guests having arrived in March 2014. Dating back many centuries, this property combines all the original features one might expect such as inglenook fireplaces, original beams and of course the thatched roof with modern luxuries like underfloor heating, en-suite bedrooms and an electric Aga.

This property is split into two parts - the main original house and the Granary (annexe) which forms the otherside of the courtyard setting. The main house has 4 beautiful en-suite bedrooms and is where the main kitchen, dining and living areas can be found which will accommodate the whole group comfortably. The Granary has 3 bedrooms which represent the quirky side of the property; each with their own distinctive style they share a good sized bathroom and the smaller of the bedrooms has it's own balcony from which to you can gaze over a significant proportion of Somerset.

This property is situated in an outstanding location on the side of the highest point of the Quantock Hills; an area of oustanding natural beauty approximately a 15 min drive from the market town of Taunton. This means that the views from the house are simply stunning and you can see miles upon miles of Somerset's finest rolling hills and landscape. A particular delight when the West Somerset steam train is passing in the distance or when the mist settles beneath the house and all ahead of you is a sea of cloud.....

Fantastic place with stunning views

Starting to need a little TLC. The hot tub lid is broken. There are missing dimmer switches and screws out of wardrobe door handles. In the games room the perspex glass on the side of the pool table was smashed and no ends on the queues. The dartboard wasnt fixed on the wall properly and not all the players work properly on the football table. Also had to rewire the karaoke plug. None of this ruined our stay as its a beautiful property with stunning views.

Lovely farmhouse, definitely recommend!

Nice rooms, most with ensuites. Living room had a really nice log burner and was spaceous enough for 11 comfortably. I would definitely recommend a stay!

Incredible weekend with friends

The house was absolutely incredible. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable, and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend to have a fun and relaxing time with the group of friends. There was so much space for us to spend time together, but also have some quiet moments. We enjoyed the lovely views of the Somerset countryside from the hot tub and can't wait to return in the future!

Fabulous property with amazing views

Very high spec property in an incredible location. Ideal for large groups. We used it for 14 people to celebrate a birthday. It had everything we needed for a fun filled weekend. The hot tub was a huge hit.

Perfect, great house, views are amazing. Plenty of space for everyone. Very clean and welcoming. The hot tub was a favourite for everyone. Great walks nearby. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful Place

We had a family get together and this was an ideal place to have it. The main property was plenty big enough to have us all in (17) without crowding. The other building was fine for the extra bedrooms. The furnishing was comfortable to relax in, and the bedrooms had plenty of space and the en-suites were well designed. The kitchen in the main property was well equipped our only concern we had was there being no food storage space as all the cupboards had things in them. There was plenty of fridge and freezer space. The views were wonderful and the hot tub was a winner. The games room would have been great if the pool table and the football game did not have broken legs.
