Welcome to The White House, a beautiful 4 bedroom property set in the beautiful lakeside town at Wharewaka, it is the perfect place to enjoy and discover Lake Taupo!

Spend your days relaxing on the lakefront enjoying the beauty of the surrounding areas or travel around Lake Taupo discovering all the attractions.

The home features an upstairs open, living, dining and kitchen area with plenty of space, perfect for spending time with family and friends. In the summer, enjoy the outdoor balcony with a BBQ watching the sun go down in the distance and in winter, retreat indoors and warm yourself up by the fireplace. With Queen and Single-sized beds, as well as Bunk beds, this home is able to accommodate all kinds of guests.

The White House is just a short 5-minute walk to the lake’s edge, where you are able to go on long walks, enjoying the stunning views of the lake, all the way down to Five Mile Bay or further up towards the town of Taupo. Taupo Central is just a short 10-minute drive away with plenty of shops, stores, restaurants and any other things that you may need! This place is perfectly connected with Taupo airport being nearby.

Taupo Stay

We were very happy with the property, very well presented, it had everything we needed. It really is a great property we had the best time there, lots of laughs and great memories. Would definitely recommend this house and if staying in Taupo again would definitely stay there again.

The property was not up to the advertised standard.

Although a bbq was in the photos, no bbq, needless to say spoilt our plans for a bbq dinner. We had planned a bike ride, again none of the bikes were in working order. We probably should have guessed when it took ten minutes to unlock the front door, the lock obviously needs work. We were about to give up when it unlocked. We rang the numbers but of course no one picked up and still no one has bothered to get back to us. I think you can get the drift here, good house but in need of some TLC and needs a property manager to be available. Not value for money in my mind considering we paid $1600 for a two night stay. You guessed it we won’t be back and won’t be recommending this holiday house.

The house was a good size for a large group.

This house had it all!

This house had it all! A great location, beautiful views, fantastic facilities (lovely kitchen!) and something for every member of the family from the books to the games to the all important trampoline. Our family thought this 'property' was just marvelous. Far enough from Taupo township to enjoy the peace and quiet and stars, close enough to jump in the car to get milk. We wish we had three weeks instead of three nights.

Hi, the house was perfect for our needs.

Hi, the house was perfect for our needs. It was spacious, big enough for all staying. The house was also very close to the lake, a park and the town centre, either by car or within walking distance if you like a nice walk. We would rent again if in Taupo.

The White House was a fantastic place to stay in. It worked perfectly for two families or 4. Was very easy to heat with fire and plenty of heaters. Kitchen facilities were also great. A very comfortable house in an awesome area for kids with a great playground close by and fantastic bike riding paths.
