Along with a restaurant and a coffee shop/cafe, there's a snack bar/deli on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. WiFi is free in public spaces. An airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and an area shuttle are available for a fee. An outdoor pool, spa services, and a library are also featured at the family-friendly Maravu Taveuni Lodge. The guesthouse can provide wedding services and tour/ticket assistance.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this Taveuni Island East guesthouse.
Loved my week long stay at Taveuni. I decided on this place for the grounds, accessibility to the ocean, and opportunity to interact with others. The plantation grounds were lovely. Rooms are variable - I recommend Bure 112 (upgraded) or 5. Havenât seen many others. The restaurant was reliable - big meals in the evenings. Great omelet and pancakes. Try the road for the best roti, papaya and plantains or a fish meal for $1.50-$5 US. Kava and songs in the evenings.
Lovely ladies in staff will help you with everything you need. Fins and snorkel, towel rental. Shower out back for late flight departures. Nice pool.
Central location. Excursions with Pete, Mateo and Batman car were great. Walking distance to a couple food places, airport and two small markets, and beautiful evening sunsets (Tramonte)/sunrises.
Shower is outside, not private. Toilet didnât flush. They turned off the electricity from 10am-3pm every day. One little ac unit for too large spaces. Windows didnât close properly. Staff was wonderful. Facility poor.
A quiet and peaceful place. The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
However, you shouldn't expect the room to be cleaned, probably due to lack of house keepers. The check-in time is 2PM, but I needed to wait till 4PM since the room was not ready. Also, the next day the house keeper came around 5pm and it was too late. On the third day, I had requested cleaning for the room, but they didn't even come to the room.
We had a beautiful stay at Maravu-our own piece of paradise! Our bure was private, peaceful and clean. The Maravu staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend and would stay again and again. Vinaka to our friends at Maravu!
Staff are very friendly. Rooms are basic. We did have a small dorm-sized refrigerator, electric tea kettle, and a small selection of teas and instant coffee. We had hot water for about 1 minute while showering. There was a mini-split for hot days. Nothing fancy here so if you're looking for a special vacation, consider other options. We felt the price was very high for what you get. Also, be aware that they shut off the power every day from 11am-4pm to let the generator "cool off". Would have been nice to know before booking.
Stayed in the treehouse and it was a very long uphill trek from reception with suitcases (staff didnât help) as well as 40 steps up to the room. Wouldnât have booked the treehouse had we known it was such a trek to the room. We stayed for 3 nights, housekeeping didnât attend our room throughout the duration of our stay, no clean towels provided, water or even basic amenities such as shower gel.
The room was covered in bugs and spiders and even a lizard managed to get in during the night! Would not recommend.
Check was good. We got our rooms at 11.30am since we arrived early. Room was in good condition. Hotel is run on generator power. So there is no power between 11am to 4pm. This not a issue really as during that time we were out. The bar should carry better wine selection. A little inconvenience with the restaurant as we need to pay when served, so we need to carry either cash or card everytime we go to eat.
Our stay at Maravu Resort was a great experience. Whilst the accommodation was abdicate there is a lot of upgrading to be done. Any problems we had were attended to immediately. They were only the Air conditioner & Fan. The Staff and meals were fantastic. The lady in charge (Laisani) was friendly & attentive to our needs. Would recommend the Resort to everyone
Fantastic staff, always willing to help. Made our stay very personal and enjoyable. The activities they put on were great and there was no pressure to do them, however you were made to feel incredibly welcome if you did.
Highly recommend Taveuni and Maravu Lodge
The staff and their service were excellent. They were very friendly and helpful whenever l needed anything.
My only complaint lies in the lack of facilities in the room itself. At $175 Au a night l expected at least a fridge, jug and toaster. I was bought a jug on request by a helpful staff member. But much cheaper places have provided the above plus cutlery and china, even microwave ovens.
Really at that price l believe more should be on offer. This complaint is for the admin staff only. All other staff were wonderful.
