The holiday cottage Casa Sofia is fully equipped to offer the best comfort to you. It is located in a romantic and tranquil small village called Las Vegas in the south of Tenerife (Granadilla de Abona). It is surrounded by ravines and plenty of greenery and it is far from the busy touristic resorts of the south of Tenerife.



In the surrounding areas you can find beautiful landscape and especially the National Park Del Teide, with all its leisure facilities. El Médano and los Abrigos are only 20 minutes away, and they are old fishing villages with the best natural beaches in the island. This is the ideal place for all water sports and to enjoy delicious fish restaurants.

Due to the inclement weather we didn’t get to enjoy the facilities fully and after 3 days we left to book into a hotel as every time we were up in the casa it was cold and wet yet the sun was shining down by the coast. The weather we know is not guaranteed however it did spoil our stay.We contacted the owner on arrival and it was at least a couple of hrs before we got a response delaying us getting into the property, we appreciate the WiFi is not good in the mountains, we first tried calling when in the airport arrivals and on route.Problem with the front door on arrival, we couldn’t open it and had to eventually use a shoulder punch to barge it open, the handle was lose on the inside which worried us that we wouldn’t be able to get out, not a great start and it was difficult throughout our stay to open and close, luckily the owner responded eventually and came to fix the handle. The Casa we felt was basic but typical Spanish and had everything for your stay, but felt it just needed a bit of a tidy up, the towels rail in the shower area was coming lose on the wall and needed repairing and we were unable to use the toaster as it wasn’t clean enough and needs replacing. The sunbeds in the picture are not what are available for use, there are two black plastic ones with plastic type covers. There were no instructions or welcome pack on arrival, no local information on things to do, what to do if the power goes off, contact for emergencies, hospital, pharmacy etc.

A nice quiet little cottage. If you want a private, calm holiday this place is for you, however it is far from anything, nothing is walking distance so I definitely recommend to rent a car. Host was helpful, friendly and communicative.

A perfect getaway

If you love nature and want a peaceful holiday away from the crowds, this is the place for you. The setting is tranquil, and you are not overlooked, so there is total privacy. Walking trails go through this tiny village and we tried a few. Stargazing at night is brilliant thanks to lack of light pollution.

Petite maison simple mais très cocooning et ou l on se sent bien Avons été accueillis très gentiment Literie propre, linge de toilette suffisant Dommage qu il manquait quelques degrés pour se baigner dans la piscine et profiter de la terasse et des transats Je recommande ce lieu sans hésitation
