There's a restaurant on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. Public spaces have free WiFi. Bell Hotel by Greene King Inns also features a library, a garden, and room service (during limited hours). Free self parking is available.
Overnight stay on the way to Devon for a wedding. Warm welcome by the reception staff. Nice touch getting a phone call prior to our visit to see if we wanted to book a dinner reservation which we did. The food was really good. The hotel room was immaculate and a really good size. Close to all amenities. We would definitely stay again
Convenient for a holiday in and around Tewkesbury, although, parking on site was sometimes in high demand. The food at the Bell was good and value for money. The bed comfortable.
Annex room 20 lacked nets at the window, thus compromising my privacy. It felt like living in a goldfish bowl. Apparently, they were "on order" for my room, which overlooked the courtyard! If impossible to buy nets in Tewkesbury, doubtless they will be available in either Cheltenham or Gloucester.
I stay here a lot, Jay and her team are always friendly and so helpful, the rooms are always clean and the food and breakfast I can never fault, only one requested to the owners please spend some money to upgrade the hotel, its tired the carpet is older than me and your staff deserve it to be upgraded, they do a great job looking after us
This is a beautiful old pub in a fantastic location, opposite the Abbey, close to the river and a very short walk from shops, restaurants, pubs and museums in the historic town of Tewkesbury.
The staff are all amazing, freindly, helpful and work really hard but at busy times it sometimes seems there are not enough of them.
Excellent location. Food choice was good. My room was quite tired and in need of some TLC but recognise that the building is older and so didnât expect the spacious rooms that a more modern hotel would have
Beds were laid diagonally opposite. Had to jump over to go to the washroom. Complained to the reception, was told it is what it is. Was very hot in the room. Told the reception, it was hot for every body else was the answer. Donât want make an issue but give the service for what you charge. Take ownership.
We were in the "old" part of the hotel and absolutely loved the quaintness & "creaky floorboards" of this place, but some may not - not sure if the annexe has these, maybe not. The room was pleasant, clean & the beds were very comfortable. We would have liked a couple more electrical sockets. The receptionists, waitress who served us breakfast were all lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have experienced for years in the UK and exceptional value for money. You could have anything from the continental section (if booked full price - loads of fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, yoghurts - individual, large expensive ones) etc plus your choice from the extensive cooked options. These were cooked to order and were superb. If you struggle with stairs and narrow corridors with lots of fire doors ask for a ground floor room in the annexe when you book.
Would love to stay there again if ever in the area.
