Also in Lake Crystal, public access to 2 lakes, Lake Crystal and Loon Lake. Another great small town bar/restaurant in Good Thunder, The Thunder Bar. The Red Jacket Valley Park is 9 miles away. The most unique and beautiful rental! We loved every part of the house — it was spotless, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The wood features throughout, the fireplace, and the vintage signages gave us so much to admire. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were perfectly clean. Highly recommended!

Our second stay was as amazing as our first! Super clean property, comfy beds, a kitchen full of tools for cooking, beautiful night skies, and the most friendly hosts. A great place to just hang out and explore or a starting point for exploring Mankato and other local towns. Definitely a vacation gem. We've previously not visited a rental more than once...until now. Highly recommend! We'll definitely go back!

My 3 sisters and I rented the property for a quiet "Sisters" Fall weekend of hiking, antiquing & apple picking. Staying at "The Cabin at Lowell" took the our weekend to a whole new level. The cabin was delightful - with all the upgraded amenities but the design & decorating complemented the charms of the rural area with hints of nostaglia of years gone by. Plenty of sleeping and living space and screened-in porches. The property is beautiful and secluded yet not far the charming towns New Ulm, St Pete's, Mankato and the rural charming towns of Lake Crystal and Garden City. Shout out Lakes Sports Bar and Grill for The Best Broasted Chicken Ever and Scott's Treasure Trove for having our Grandfather Grainbelt beer glasses and the Welsh Heritage Farm for their fresh upick and they picked apples, pies & popcorn!

The Cabin at Lowell is such a peaceful, quiet country setting. My husband and I and anther couple stayed at the cabin. Each couple had comfortable beds and private bathrooms. It was just right. Our favorite spot at the cabin was the screened in porch. We watched the chickens, even named a few, watched the sun go down behind the trees and all without pesky bugs! We walked the paths on the property, the gravel road…such a perfect spot for us. We played golf in nearby St Peter and North Mankato. We took one full day and went to see the Rapidan Dam site, Minneopa State Park’s Bison Drive and Falls. Then up to New Ulm for a Schnell’s brewery tour followed by dinner at Kaiserhoff’s and a visit to see Herman the German. Back to our cozy cabin and an adult beverage on the screened in porch….the best day! Carl and Ann are wonderful hosts. We wish them the best. I would definitely visit again.

This is the first time we rented a home and we were pleasantly surprised. The home was fully stocked with towels, dishes, paper products, etc. There were trails and plenty of yard for activities, as well as playground equipment for our grandchildren. The home was very private and had a beautiful scenic view with a pond that was such a pleasure to wake up to each morning. The home also had plenty of beds and bedrooms to accommodate our family. Ann and Carl were just a text away and were available if we needed them. We are definitely planning another stay here. Thanks

The host was super friendly and stopped by on the first day for a quick meet and greet and to answer any questions we may of had. The place was super cute and they didn’t cut corners with supplies. Plenty of tp, towels and kitchen necessities. Morning coffee was made more enjoyable by watching the birds at the feeders and chickens roaming the property. We visited Minneopa State Park during our stay.

This was our second stay with one year. Absolutely a wonderful facility inside and out for our family vacation. We love the open kitchen, dining room and living room. The kitchen is well-stocked with lots of counter space that made cooking family breakfasts and spaghetti with meatballs dinner enjoyable. And even though the 4th of July was hot and humid, we had a small fire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows for smores. Our 12 year old grandson loved the chickens and horses and the onsite playground. Lake Crystal is close by and we were happy to find Kevin's Market open late on the holiday. Mankato was also close enough for a trip to the Cinemark River Hills Mall movie theater on such a hot day. We will definitely return to the Cabin in Lowell. One of our favorite rentals in Minnesota.

Great stay in the country
We enjoyed our stay, we spent a few weeks. The property was everything we needed. We enjoyed the wildlife, rabbits, deer, lots of birds, frogs chirping at night, lightning bugs. A few flys, mosquitos were not bad, the frogs must eat well! Carl and Ann were great hosts, available but not intrusive. Highly recommended!
Wonderful property. Quiet, many activities available and so much to see. If you are looking to accommodate several friends or family members near the Mankato area, this is it! Owners very friendly and respectful of your privacy during the stay.

Girls Reunion
We stayed a weekend in May and had a wonderful time! The cabin was well stocked and clean. The layout of bedrooms and sleeping space was perfect. The decor is interesting (even an “eye spy” game to find unique pieces of artifacts throughout the cabin, leading to fun conversation starters). We enjoyed walking and hiking the grounds, the owners, Ann and Karl, were so welcoming and responsive. We hope to be back again!

Relaxing getaway!
My husband and I stayed with another couple and had a great time. Plenty of space for multiple couples, comfy beds, everything you need to cook there. It was a great spot for a weekend away to relax and unwind. Beautiful property that we enjoyed walking around and exploring. Very peaceful and relaxing! The owners stopped by and checked in with us and were incredibly kind and accommodating.
