There's a restaurant on site, as well as a coffee shop/cafe and a snack bar/deli. A free manager's reception is offered daily. Public spaces have free WiFi. A vending machine, tour/ticket assistance, and coffee/tea in a common area are also featured at Hotel Bridges House.
I stayed one night in the Standard Room traveling solo. The room was clean and spacious enough, and it had a charming atmosphere. My room was located on the third floor, so I had a nice view including some houses around and the tops of both Old and New churches.
However, I found the steps (especially the ones going from the 2nd to the 3rd floor) to be very narrow; so you have to go up/down carefully.
The breakfast was OK. Although, I did not have many choices besides eating bread with jam (and the soy milk I requested when booking) because I'm vegan. Perhaps having muesli or cereals for the breakfast would help make it better.
This hotel could really improve with some easy changes. They only give you coffee in the room on your first day. That makes no sense!! They donât replenish toilet paper, Kleenex or empty the trash when they make up your room. We had to ask for more toilet paper. The towels are thin and old and so are the bed linens. The chairs are stained. General maintenance isnât addressed, throughout the hotel. Too bad because it could be a really charming hotel with minimal effort.
