Beautiful room, lovely tub aswell. Staff wasn’t the most friendly, but it was a very busy check in so it makes sense. Such a beautiful garden in the back as well. Went to spa the sukura in a different tower and it met expectations for sure. Expensive, but great way to end the trip!!

Staff are friendly and helpful, 7-11 inside hotel is very convenient. Location is central, 5 minute walk to Shinagawa station, which connects to most major train lines. Note that it is a bit of a slope to walk between train and station, so maybe challenging with luggages, but they do offer free shuttle to Prince Hotel which is a short flat walk to the station.

I Cons: - hotel lobby smell like salami 24/7 - eventhough every japanese we met through our trip was helpful and kind, this hotel managed to get the least japanese oriented staff on check in and check out counter, never smiling, not helpful, barely recognizing your presence like they are forced to do their work - no one helped us getting our luggage into the hotel and up to our room - we paid 25 usd during check out for amenities that we dont know hat they were and was too tired to argue about - rooms are small - asked to change one of the room from single to double but the only reason I got that they cant do that is the fact i booked through expedia - empty refrigerator in the room Pro: - Clean room - Seven Eleven within the hotel - Tully shop within the hotel for a good morning coffee The poor rating is based on the fact the hotel is listed as 5 stars. I would rate it higher if it was listed as 3 or 4 stars.

good service, room is slightly outdated but very clean and spacious. From Shinagawa station, it is uphill and not the easiest road to carry the luggage but other than that, easy access to sakura tower and some restaurants and shop nearby.

This hotel is a familiar sight on television, and even the attitude of the staff you pass by is one step above, making it a modern, first-class hotel that is admired by the Showa generation, both now and in the past. The garden is magnificent, the largest of its kind in Tokyo, and the tranquility and uniquely Japanese architecture and plants make it easy to spend an entire day just strolling around the hotel complex and the area around Shinagawa Station. Shinagawa Station is easily accessible via the JR Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, Sobu Line, Shinkansen, and Keikyu Line. The surrounding area is in the midst of development, with many shops opening in the shopping arcade. Only Narita Airport has a shuttle bus, so considering the ongoing construction work in front of the station, this is recommended for those with large luggage or children. Reservations are required.
