Clean but tired
Convenient location not far from underground station. Quiet, clean and comfortable beds but rather tired. No room to walk around when 2nd bed is out.

Unit was not properly cleaned. Hair all over the floor, sink, under the bed. Futon liner was stained. 1 of the 2 beds squeak at the slightest movement.
The property was in a nice location, with close options to eat at walking distance. The place was quiet and also a few minutes from multiple train station locations as well.
Very accessible and accommodating. Local grocery and dining is fantastic.

Our room smelt like a swamp the entire time. We couldn’t figure out where it came from so had to just keep the windows open. It was an okay space, not very clean, but spacious.
We showed up 15 minutes before check in and were asked to wait outside until 3 with our baggage even though our room was ready.

Great grocery shop next door, and a 5 min walk to Ushigome-Kagurazaka station. Our room had washing machine, stove top, microwave and kettle. Not a big room for 3 but we got by.
Walkable distance to train stations. Overall a great, spacious stay for the room we booked, which was the private room with bathroom. A bit difficult to get help from staff, but we figured things out on our own. Just a heads up, even though the name has HOTEL in it, they do not (or in our experience), have luggage delivery services. Klook did not operate in their area as well, so we ended up going to 711

Great price but not convenient to major attractions
Close to subway stations, and cheap but GREAT local restaurants. Slightly out of Tokyo central, property not too noisy. But check in counter (staff not overly helpful, but not rude) was a long way from actual rooms, which were through a maze at the back of the building. Good for the price.
Property was very clean and the price was very cheap for the area. There are a lot of restaurants, bakeries, and shops nearby as well as several train stations. It's a very clean and nice areas and the locals are very friendly.
The public dorm rooms are actually really nice, offering a small kitchenette to cook for yourself and whichever friends from around the world you may meet. The Santoku is a little grocery store that's literally adjacent to the building, and everything else is actually within a good distance for walking too. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Well situated in a quiet suburb of greater Tokyo. Many small businesses and convenience stores in the local area. Would stay here again, but be aware that the coin dryer is not as efficient as those in North America and can take several hours to dry clothes. It's best to hang dry in sunny weather.
Rhodes Kagurazaka was average.
It was fine as a place to sleep and the toilets, showers and beds were good and clean but the place has no bowls/ cutlery to speak of and communal areas were non existent. There was a corridor with a shelf and some seats but that was it.
The majority of guests seem to be middle aged asian men who for the most part keep to themselves.
The hostel is about a 10-20 minute walk from the various train stations and it's a fairly quiet area from what I saw. Not a super convenient spot for sightseeing Tokyo but if you're switched on it's workable.
Check in and out is done via an ipad in the reception. So that could be convenient if you are checking in late.
Nice and cheap so all in all I wouldn't choose to come back but it wasn't a bad experience.
