Very clean room. Staff were by far the best of any hotels I’ve visited in Toronto ( at least 6 other hotels).

The breakfast options was impressive. So many different things to choose from. On Christmas Day they served mimosas. Was a nice touch for the season

We loved our stay at the new Riu Plaza Toronto. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable ...the breakfast was excellent with so many delicious options...best of all, the service was outstanding...Alex at the front desk was great as were Arianna and all the gals at the dining room welcome and servers Aaron and Penina at breakfast took good care of us! Mimosas for New Year's Day was a nice touch. Bravo! We look forward to staying again soon.

The first room was infested with bed bugs. I wasn't fully asleep when a got bit. As I jumped out of the bed multiple bugs were crawling around in the heat left by my body in the bed. Small and big, wich leads me to believe I was not a new infestation. The hotel management quickly offered another room but I was not able to sleep peacefully constantly checking if I had any on me or in my luggage. I pray I did not bring any pest back home with me. I put everything in a trash bag not to infect the car and left all outside my house (I live in a very cold city and we are having sub zero temps). I will have to wait about 2 weeks to make sure I do not get any new bites. For a luxary place, this should not happen and they should help and make sure we don't move the problem around.

Checked in next morning after 9 hour flight delay expected my prepaid room to be ready but was not - fail. Inadequate seating and lounge area. Breakfast food was too salty. Heat programmed in room, no AC in winter. fridge not cool, bed has no comforter just prison sheets. Shower stream very weak, drains poor. Soap dispensers weird. No room service. Riu app works. Lots of staff. Lobby staff and dining staff were friendly. All the suits were too uptight. Too many rules. Wipe the fake smile off that little two faced lady mgr in dining room.

What an Hotel for the price. I can bet their breakfast buffet is the best you would ever have in a hotel. Our room was small, but clean but luxury; even their hightech system to save energy when you are out is notable. Service excellent ans staff always have a warming smile ready to assist ans answer our questions or provide tourist guidance. Less then 15 minutes of walk from everything downtown (CN tower, rogers center, scotiabank arena, pharmacy, restaurant, tramway, bus stops)
