There was inconsistency in the treatment from staff. One staff was more than helpful. But the other initial staff we dealt with was bland, showed no knowledge of what guest service at a hotel is like regardless of how many stars the hotel has there is a level of courtesy & kindness shows towards guests. Every time I spoke I was met with short responses and no understanding. As I was speaking I was interrupted and then finally had to tell the them that “hey you can be a little nicer about it and more patient.” After this comment there was no response but an eye roll and a look of confirmation the staff made to the other person, and no courtesy of an apology either like for example it’s very easy to say “oh I’m sorry for the misunderstanding,” but there was nothing— he kind of just looked at us like we are the annoying ones when honestly we were very calm and trying to see how to approach the issue. After dealing with the issue on my end through Expedia, when we came back to the desk, that same staff told us something along the lines of, other hotels are harder/stricter on this matter and that he was actually being nice ??? No apology yet either for the experience we had. The hotel itself had some great features with the kitchenette, the rest of the conditions were okay but the tub in the washroom was uninviting to say the least, I didn’t feel like showering on a yellow tub floor and there was some grout. Hopefully some things can be updated soon.
